Great food. Terrible service experience.

This was definitely not my first time, but it was my mom's. We enjoyed the food, the coffee and drinks were great. The wait was to be expected. However, the service left us with a terrible impression.

At the start our server came to take our drink order. While we were talking she was looking, I don't know where, but not at us. She brought us our drinks and took our food order, again, looking elsewhere and not at us. It's really bizarre to be looking up at your server and telling how you want your eggs done while she's looking out the window or something. She then came back with a carafe of coffee and set it down and walked away. Aren't you supposed to fill up your customers mugs or something? That was our last encounter until she dropped of the check, while we were still eating. She never came to see how the food was. She never came to see how the drinks were. She never came to see if we needed more coffee. She never came over period. Until she dropped the check. We still had drinks and food on our plate when she set it down "for whenever you're ready". Honey, that was not going to be for some time.

When I was done eating I set my plate on the corner of the table with my napkin on it. The server walked by 3x and never took it. One of the times she walked by, she was doing high kicks!? Never bothered to pre bus. When she did end up taking my plate she failed to see that my mother's plate was also empty and had her napkin on top.

Now, I know everyone says, "I always tip 20%," but we actually do. And 20% is for not the best service. I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. I tip well and have taught my parents to do so also. We tipped an astonishing 11%. That's how much we were disappointed. I maybe think we maybe would come back, but it's definitely not going to be on the top of our minds and won't be suggested anytime soon. That's really unfortunate.

Two additional notes:

  1. the lady that dropped our food off was cheery and very polite. She seemed nice and asked us if we needed anything else.
  2. the bussers cleared a both off next to us and wiped all the crumbs from the table and seats on to the floor, and NEVER came to sweep it up. Spot sweeping might be encouraged. (There were crumbs under our table when we...

Neve felt so humiliated. We went there for lunch and it started off bad. We had an online reservation and we got there and still had to check in. We waited for 15 minutes outside then they sat somebody at our table and never let us know our table was ready. When we were sat down I noticed the table was not cleaned, and there was a knife with a bunch of chocolate on it, and it was all over where my feet were supposed to be, so I brought it up and the hostess didn’t say anything so we pushed the knife from out under the table and she picked it up for us.

At that point we were happy with the service, our waitress was awesome and the food was great, but when we were about to leave the shift manager came to us to let us know we made her hostess feel uncomfortable because we “kicked” a knife at her. Which was not true, and we just did it to help her get it so she didn’t have to go under the table. The manager didn’t raise their voice but we just thought it was very odd that she came to us just to tell us that her hostess felt uncomfortable, then after we explained what happened she wouldn’t try to provide a resolution she just kept making us feel bad that her staff felt “uncomfortable” by our presence.

At this point every one in the store was looking at us because the manager was causing a scene and drama when we were perfectly happy before this. I was so embarrassed I left, and while my parents were leaving the hostesses’ mom was there for some reason and cussed out my parents. The manager just stood by and did not do anything about us getting cussed out by their employees mom. She was quick to look out for her employee who had a knife “kicked” at her but when we are getting verbally attacked in front of her she stood by to watch.

Very upset, and I’ve never had such an awful experience getting food. A company should appreciate their customers, not accuse them and let them get verbally abused by their employees parents. Doesn’t...

This is one of our favorite brunch places to go to with family and friends BUT this time was very different. So many things went wrong this time… #Tableof9

Took about 30 mins for server to bring a booster seat for my 2 year old, so I had to hold her half the time

The server took all of are orders from the whole other side of the table

Three other tables were served before us that had arrived after us

It took about 45 mins to get our food and everyone’s food came out before my baby …. They brought her food out last which is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK. You always bring out a child’s food first , every server should know this and she looked at me like I was crazy when I said that’s not ok

Because of her health condition( diverticulitis & acid reflux) , my friends mom cannot have tomatoes and the server put down EXTRA TOMATOES . And didn’t even put add turkey (she didn’t even have any meat in her omelette) … she picked out all the tomatoes because she didn’t want to have to wait another hour for replacement food and the waitress response was “well you ate it” …. Ummmm disrespectful!

My food was not good AT ALL. The eggs were way underdone … the whites were still runny . The chicken was overrrrrcooked , barely any sauce . … the adult drink was gritty and just tasted like ground up cereal milk .

Idk if everyone was just overwhelmed today but the service was awful and should be addressed .

The only thing good on the plate was...

Perfect brunch spot!! Food and service 1000/10! 🔥🔥 #stlfood #foodreview #foodie #influencer #fyp

I visited this place for brunch on February 12th to celebrate my birthday. When we were seated, we requested to move to a booth for more space, but we were denied even though there were four open booths. The server claimed the restaurant was about to close, so after another table cleared, we asked if we could take that one. The server responded rudely with a half-hearted "yeah" and then walked away. We then switched seats, but were served uncooked pancakes and a cold omelet. When we brought this to her attention, she didn’t apologize and simply took the food back without a word. As other guests arrived, we noticed that she was much more welcoming to them, and they received better service . When she returned with the revised food, she asked how we wanted to pay. My friend mentioned that she would cover my meal as it was my birthday, but the server snatched her card and walked off without a word. I get that this isn’t a five-star establishment, but a little common courtesy and respect would have gone a long way. Her name was SARAH P. Do better

4½ stars - Classic American Breakfast and Lunch spot - Always packed Stopped in for breakfast and left seriously impressed! We ordered a stack of pancakes and a hearty omelet loaded with sausage, bacon, and cheese—and both dishes hit the spot. The pancakes were tasty, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of sweetness even before adding syrup. They had that homemade touch you hope for in a good diner. The butter was so light. The omelet was the star of the show: generously filled with crispy bacon, savory sausage, and gooey cheese that melted into every bite. It was rich without being greasy, and the portion size was just right. You could tell it was made fresh and with care, in spite of the restaurant being busy Service was warm and attentive. The only reason for the half-star deduction? The food took just a little longer than expected—but honestly, it was worth the wait. Overall, a great spot for a comforting, satisfying breakfast. We’ll definitely be back!
