My mom and I both come to this CAVA. As other reviews say, when you order online they give you the PETTIEST portions, like unacceptable type.. and I’m not even the type to complain about that. The GM is an absolute jerk, though. I had a bad experience with him myself a while back. The portion size for the bowl was so low. It was well below the line in the bowl. I told him and kindly asked for more on the bowl, he says “I’ll give you more but I can assure you these are the right portions.” with the most passive aggressive attitude. I took a picture of the bowl and sent it to two friends who used to work at cava.. both agreed that the portion size was so bad. I asked him “If this is the portion size then why is it marketed like it’s a full bowl?” He responds.. “I mean just look at McDonalds. The food you see in the commercials; does it look like what you get? No.” I just never thought a GM would take so much pride in misleading their customers. I brushed it off as just a bad first impression.
It was set in stone today, though when my MOTHER went to visit because .. again.. the portions they give when you order online are trifling. And they forgot to add an ingredient in both of our bowls. It totaled out to be 25 dollars, and 25 dollars for an under filled, incomplete bowl is ridiculous. Righteously so, the next day my mom went to tell them how they messed up the bowl. She tells them that they forgot an ingredient, he goes “I mean.. is that all that was wrong with it?” In a very dismissive tone, implying that it wasn’t that serious. my mom then explains that the bowl was also under filled… he offers to give a small bowl of the missing ingredient… what is that going to do?? the bowl of food is GONE. he goes “I mean, these bowls are 25 dollars. I don’t know if I can remake both of them.” My mom explains that the fact that they were 25 dollars is EXACTLY why he needs to remake both of them, again, 25 dollars for an incomplete bowl is UNACCEPTABLE. He was reluctant to even give her a new bowl.. a lot of my friends have also had pretty unpleasant experiences with this GM. don’t know who pisses in his cereal...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came into this cava and I was super excited to show her this restaurant because I love everything about it. It was her first time having cava and she even exclaimed that to the work who was taking her order. The gentleman taking care of her received a phone call and got their phone out as my girlfriend was telling him that she needed help understand everything that she could get for her bowl. He was not speaking on the phone but was texting and was not friendly or helpful about the menu at all. Luckily I knew what I was ordering so my girlfriend could have some of mine but if she had come alone was would have been very disappointed and probably never come back. The food was great as always but the service that my girlfriend received was not...
Read moreCame in today and got some really bad service, all because I asked for two scoops of each topping I wanted. This must've made the server mad or upset because instead of putting my sauces in the container she just squirted the dressing on my bowl without asking and made a mess not only that but the lamb meatballs were cold and I only got two....Not sure what type of day the girl at the cash register was having but no need to take it out on the cava bowl lol. I should've asked her to remake it but didn't want anymore unnecessary drama. The service here has always been good but I guess even Cava...
