Read moreBeing greeted by one of the owners just made this experience even grander. But each staff member I came across showed love and addressed me by name, after asking my name of course.
First I was provided the option of ordering at the counter or I can sit and order from the table. I personally like to hold the menu, so I sat down. The tables were nice. Definitely gave it that country feel, which isn’t a bad thing. The chairs were comfy. And based on the seating available could meet the needs of different party sizes. (P.s. they do cater too)
Let’s start with the brisket. It was good, enough said. No, it was really delicious. And when pairing with the different bbq sauces they have, now that was a treat. The meat just melted in your mouth. And depending on your mood the different sauces really does deliver with explosions of flavor to accompany the meat. I also had the potato salad and beans. Staples as sides with meat. It reminded me of the cookouts in my old neighborhood and I’d have my paper plate as we grabbed food and you know if the potato salad was good then the rest would be good. And the potato salad here did not disappoint. You can taste that it’s an original recipe. Nothing like any store bought version. Trust me I’ve had my share of both kinds, and this was made with love. The beans were great too. Basked in the bbq sauce it’s served with, cooked well where it wasn’t mushy nor too hard/el dente. I had to try these Burnt Ends too. SO goood! It was like a boneless wing, but brisket. Crispy on the outside, and flavorful and moist on the inside. Goes well with the different sauces, but I personally enjoyed it with the Mango Chipotle.
So, I didn’t drive over a 1000 miles to try this place out, but I’m glad Google brought them up in my search, because compared to the many BBQ joints I’ve been to this one is a contender for good BBQ on the east coast. And the prices don’t break the bank. If you like BBQ and haven’t already tried the food here, what are you waiting for? You’re...
Read moreI would like to say thank you to Shawn and his staff for a very friendly and accommodating lunch experience today.
Our son has allergies to almost everything (it feels like). I called ahead to ask the normal questions about ingredients and cross contaminants and such. The lady on the phone was very helpful. So we decided to go there for lunch.
Once we got there we ordered our food and found out that their French fries may be cross contaminated in the Same cooking oil with some beef products, which my son is allergic to. Shawn informed us and we were ok with just eating our food and just being like "oh well" and take our son somewhere else after for something he can have.
But then Shawn and his crew said they could prepare fries for our son in a separate frier they have that isn't cross contaminated because it's usually used for blanching. They just upped the temperature and made his fries.
We did not expect this of them or ask for this. They were very kind to us and very accommodating to us and our son! I would definitely recommend this place! Oh and the food was...
