I have visited this location over 75 times and we absolutely love the service staff here, but the location has a serious management and front desk issue. This was on full display today after waiting 23 minutes at the front desk while being ignored by all three hostesses on duty as they franticly kept checking the computer, talking about how they were out of silverware, and stood there as if they had no idea what to do. Multiple guests just left as they were so frustrated, and I almost did the same. I finally saw a male manager that was a Caucasian bald individual and asked him what was going on and explained to him how long we had been waiting. His explanation of "I just got here" was horrible and he offered zero assistance and simply put our name on the list and told us to wait. 2/3 of the outdoor patio was empty. Because I had a dog, I requested outdoor seating, which was wide opening, yet he refused to seat us. I went back to the host stand again and asked why we were not being seated and he simply responded "there are others ahead of you and you we will get to you when we can", yet again multiple outdoor tables were completely empty. The hostesses sat there staring as if they had no idea what they were doing. Your own servers were clearly frustrated with them and their incompetence, yet management did nothing to correct this or the poor customer experience. We were finally seated and the manager was completely not visible, nor did he come by our table to check on our experience. Our server, Heather, was exceptional as are all of our servers that we have had with each visit. This is unfortunate as your lack of proper leadership and a good front desk team has left us and many others with a very negative impression of this location. The kitchen speed at this location has also become horribly slow as well. We waited 35 minutes for our entree today which was grilled chicken and winds. When you lack good leadership it will tarnish your brand, and this manager would never work for me in my business with this attitude towards customers. I hope that the General Manager can immediately address these service and leadership issue and restore this location to the Taco Mac Standards as it's a shame because the servers are wonderful here as...

Once I completed a recent delivery order, the delivery time was estimated as 62 minutes...no worries. However, the delivery was verified as being provided by Uber Eats and that I was going to be the SECOND delivery for the driver. I did not agree to this and would not have agreed, especially since I was not offered any kind of discount on the delivery charges, etc. I was notified the order was picked up about 45 minutes after placement and "was on the way". For the next 20 minutes the location of the driver/order did not move. Just as I was about to cancel the order the order showed movement and finally, after 1 1/2 hours, I received my order. I tipped a generous amount and the delivery charge was the standard, so I do not know why I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my food to arrive...ice cold. Taco Mac...you are in charge of who delivers your orders from your website. You are responsible for the delay and not notifying your customers until after the fact. If you want to provide a DISCOUNT for longer delivery times, do so up front on ordering...not after the fact. Now, to the food...what has happened to the Dawsonville store? The food has gotten so salty over the last several orders it is almost inedible. Don't just take my word for it, there are reviews on multiple websites that note the same. Please clean it up. Regarding the food and experience though -Huge disappointment. As others have said, TOO MUCH salt. The chips were abused with salt.. some were stale. Also do all Taco Mac’s serve cold flour tortillas on the side of the chips? I had a burger and Mac n cheese, it was edible but burger was greasy and Mac n cheese was good - but my friend’s salad was drenched in dressing. She’s vegetarian and picked the bacon off the salad but if she wasn’t — there were only 2 little pieces of bacon on the salad. Like really? Not strips I literally mean two little squares of bacon. That’s all? She didn’t specify she was a vegetarian so that was a normal serving of bacon on that salad. Yikes. The place we were sat was way too busy, servers constantly walking by on the corner and too cramped for space to the table next to us. Kitchen and seating map needs to be reviewed. I won’t be back and I won’t bother with trying a different location
Edit: I wish I read the reviews before trying this place.. this place is nasty 🤢 just scrap it - there’s enough Mexican cuisine in the immediate area and each place is phenomenally better- Hacienda, Señor Fiesta and even Taco Bell!! Wings? Spice Wing is amazing! Wild Wing Cafe opened down by the mall and you have Millers. This place doesn’t serve good food, it’s just a magnet for drinking - that’s it.
