Barro Di Mario — Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls

Id give zero stars if I could. Myself and my friends have been here before and a great experience, so I suggested we go back. We walked in, used the restroom and upon exiting we walked over to grab a table. We shuffled around so we could all fit at one table (5 of us) and started to make our way towards the bar when the owner started YELLING at us to “get over here and give me all of your IDs. Now!” We were all taken aback. The music cut, everyone was staring and he continued to yell until we reached the bar. We all showed our IDs (all of us 25+) to which he then tells my friend if she didn’t smile for him, he wouldn’t serve her. He then would not let go of her ID when she was trying to reclaim it from him. We decided we would just have one round and leave. He starts our order, which was 3 drinks on my tab and 2 on another. He starts writing down my order but only fulfills 2 of the 3 drinks. I ask him again for the first drink to which he says he “already served it to me”. I had to have all of my friends stand and show they in fact did not have this drink he’s claiming I already took from him. Once we all had our drinks we sat back at our table just talking and witnessed at least 10-15 other women enter the bar seemingly our age range as well and not one of them did he demand IDs, and not once was it by screaming across the establishment to embarrass them. Overall it was a terrible experience and I’ll never be back after the way we were treated....

I went tonight to hear my brother's band. I arrived early so I could get a table and to photograph the evening since it was the next to last time my brother will be playing with this band. About 15 minutes into the first set, the owner forced me to move from the table to a chair against the wall and gave my table to two 20ish women who just showed up. There were tables in the room next to the band that they could have sat at, but they were given my table which was in front of the band. I could not photograph the band from those tables. Normally I would have left. I stayed for my brother. I also spent no money on drinks after being treated so horribly. I will never return. I look forward to seeing the band's last gig at the Village Garden this Friday where the owner is a gentleman and I will spend my money there. I would like to thank the young gentlemen who assisted me up the stairs as I was leaving. The stairs are tricky...

Very unique experience. The owner is always there (Mario) and he may be one of the most charismatic people ever! He literally runs around the place making sure everyone has what they need. Also is very serious about people's safety, at the bar or with groups of people being comfortable spread out to social distance and still not feel pandemic like. We went the first time on a random day and met Mario. He had us keep our own tab at the bar which was completely different than anywhere else. He has amazing customer service and personality too! We came back for a return trip to karaoke on a friday and the place was at a safe capacity, Mario even cut the door until people left in order to keep everyone distanced. We had a great time and the karaoke sounded really good with some great singers. A very unique experience to...
