More like 2.5, not 2. Would be a one, but the ice cream was good. Went there with family and friends about an hour before close during the snowy weather. First time bringing my 2 year old to get ice cream! I usually don't pay attention to employees with bad attitudes because as a long- time food/customer service manager, I knew they were your typical teenagers running a close by themselves on a Monday night. I've trained and talked to plenty of past employees that exuded their same behavior. It's not new. At this point, still a good time.
I was the first one to order. After I tipped my last 2 dollars (I believe in tipping), I took my daughter to the bar stool while everyone else ordered. I noticed the worker threw my pint at me (it was in a bag) and I didn't think much of it. I assumed it slipped. As long as she didn't do that to my little girls scoop with sprinkles, I'm unbothered. I'm here with my rainbow baby after all.
I noticed then as everyone else was ordering (my mom, sister, best friend of 20 years with her fiance and 2 year old), they were throwing their utensils around and banging things, clearly bothered by the 6 items of ice-cream based orders to fill at 8:10 pm. Now everyone is feeling weird. Please, keep your vibes to yourself and let us enjoy our experience without you making a show of it.
You guys run an ice cream shop. You have to wash scoops, milkshake containers, machinery, tables, maybe count down a drawer, then a quick sweep and mop on what was already a really nice looking floor. I doubt any of you do inventory, ordering, temp logs, etc. And then you walk out with cash tips on top of your hourly pay. You will be out of there in 10 minutes, if that. You run a small counter. I've closed down a whole Panera in 20 minutes on a dead day like you most likely had yesterday. My whole family told me afterwards how bothered they were by how you treated me (once again, I'm here for the first time with my rainbow baby, whose father passed away right before she was born), thus activating their disgust at this establishment, vowing to never come back for the way you treated me being there with my daughter. I've never written a review like this. Multiple family members of mine go here. I'll tell them about it for sure when I see them, but other than this review, this place is dead to me. Rip. Just found my favorite ice cream...
Read moreWhat a cute little retro creamery! This was my first visit and I am now a forever customer! The atmosphere is welcoming and the vibes are nostalgic. The staff is also super friendly and knowledgeable.
What sets this creamery apart from everyone else is that it offers adult milkshakes! The one I ordered was a holiday special called “the Naughty list”. It was seriously the best milkshake I have ever had! I thought the alcohol would be extremely overwhelming, but it wasn’t! You could definitely taste it, but it was the perfect ratio!
They also let you order your shakes to go if you like. They just tape the top and you can’t insert the straw until you get to where you’re going. They also have regular milkshakes and ice cream as well!
Overall this was a fun experience for being so close to home! We will definitely be back!

Read moreI just moved back into the Akron area. When I moved out I remember that haves had started opening up other locations. And I'd fallen in love with their ice cream. The minute I moved back I ended up finding myself by the pavs that's in Coventry. And I remembered that their portions were interesting as a small cup was essentially a small styrofoam cup. Then I found myself by this one here. I love the layout it's unique it's like an old school malt shop. The only reason that I gave it four stars instead of five is the inconsistent portion sizes. In this location they used a more traditional cup that you would find in an ice cream shop. The ice cream itself was identical consistent flavors consistent quality. But for some strange reason the different cup meant that I was paying the same amount for a smaller amount of ice cream. I'm not really sure why there's an inconsistency between...
