F.A.T.S — Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls

We are a middle-aged couple who were dining out for our anniversary. First time at F.A.T.S. and had a great experience. Frank took our reservation on the phone and introduced himself. We were seated in an open, yet intimate feeling back room of the party center on a Friday night and quickly found ourselves enjoying the welcoming ambiance including lower lighting, player piano, and other families enjoying time with their friends and loved ones. We must have been there for around 3 hours in all (as were some others), but it felt like the perfect amount of time. I overheard one of the other patrons say something to the effect of "this is dining", and I couldn't agree more. Looked across the room to find Frank and his mother sitting down to a meal. Just a really enjoyable, down to earth yet elevated atmosphere. Great service from Elliot while we were there. He was knowledgeable and gave us good advice to help us make our choices. Food was great. Shrimp Diavolo is a must if you like seafood. Puttanesca tasted like homestyle with big chunks/medallions of a very good sausage and the most flavorful green olives I've ever had. Even salads that came with entrees were great. Super crisp and fresh greens.The big dinner portion sizes will have all but the hungriest guests taking some home to eat for lunch the next day. We had to try the mini cannoli's for dessert. They didn't disappoint. You won't be disappointed either....

Walking up to entrance door smells of sewer. Party of 16, 8 couples. Seated at 7pm, restaurant closes at 10pm. Seated for 45 minutes before drink orders began. Only wine list and specialty cocktails. No beer or other options printed list. Server didn’t know what they had or did not have. At the 2 hour mark we finally ordered our entrees. At the four hour mark we still had no checks. We skipped desert because of how long service was. Server was taking orders by couples but screwed up the final tickets and another came out with one bill for all of us. Owner was present but never approached our table for reassurance. No discount on final tab after so many screw ups. A visit which should have lasted 2 1/2- 3 hours that took nearly 4 1/2 hours. This was all one big event center before this restaurant. It still felt like an event center not an jntimate setting. Food was good, they forgot a few entree sides. Oh and to top it off, when exiting, had to walk through a parking lot full of backed up sewer with toilet...

I was excited to try this but it was horrible. We made reservations for 630 on valentines day and were sat right away. The problem is that we weren't served for 30 minutes. Every server was frantic and, what I'm assuming was the owner, was talking to people he knew and not really helping. Once we did get served, we ordered everything right away. It took another 25 minutes for our drinks. 45 minutes later, our food came out before our salad and we never got our appetizer. Chicken was cold and the breading was soggy. $100 for bad food, bad service and way too long of a dinner....
