AB Teahouse — Restaurant in Cypress

My hubby was craving a cup of iced coffee from Starbucks. Gotcha caught my eyes as we pulled into the parking lot. I learned that it's soft opening this week as I was paying & saw 30% slashed off my bill automatically all week this week. You get 30% off with a yelp check-in but you can always save it to come back another day.

Kerri was wonderful helping me at the register to get what I wanted even though their menu is very easy to look at in a glance. I've had milky products all day so I decided to go with something refreshing. Kerri suggested a peach green tea. She also recommended their unique topping with is the gummy bear lychee. Yes! It's lychee bits in the shape of a gummy bear! Too cute!!!

I like to taste my tea over the flavor. To be honest; their tea at 25% percent may be perfect for the general population but it was way too sweet for my taste. It was not a problem at all. The staff were all very attentive to making it fit my taste so they took my drink back to add more plain green tea to balance. Now it's refreshing & perfect! I couldn't be more happy with the taste & exceptional customer service.

I love supporting small businesses. I learned from Kerri that Gotcha is a franchise. This is store number 2 in the United States. The first location is in San Diego. They also have other locations in Asia where their tea concept started. They believe in farming their own tea to guarantee the quality & freshness! I love that!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved that they offered other milk options like almond milk. I was tempted to order the matcha however I decided to go with the Rose at 25% sweet and ez ice. The ice was perfect and the drink was good however next time i'll get it unsweetened because at 25% it was still too sweet for me. It was definitely less sweet then the Passionfruit drink J got, which tasted good, but not a level of sweetness I would order for myself.

I think it's cute that one of the owners left themselves a 5 star review, but ideally a reviewer shouldn't match the ServeSafe on the wall. Anyway I came in here the next day and asked for an unsweetened matcha almond milk with boba and it was so Sweet, as sweet as the Rose from the day before and the boba was not chewy soft, it was pretty hard. Hopefully they work out...

It saddens me to leave this because I really liked going here. They’re the only place in town that actually has warm Boba and they’re Thai tea is pretty decent and then I went in there today and the young man behind the counter told me he won’t be taking any orders at the moment because he’s working on a big order and that my one type T was going to inconvenience him and his big order. Well that’s too bad. I’m just gonna think twice about coming here again if I ever come here again at all, I hope your big order pays for all the drinks that I would’ve ordered...
