** Don’t buy your Thanksgiving meals from here!** I literally had the worst restaurant experience ever at Cracker Barrel last night. I was trying to order online because I had somebody to pick it up for me. I had a gift card but it doesn’t give you the option to use your gift card when you order online every time I called to ask them about that they would put me on hold, and nobody would answer. So finally, I decided I would call and place my order. I called and they transferred me to curbside, but nobody answered. I called again, and they said they would transfer me to a person to take it to go order again, the phone just rang and rang. I asked to talk to a manager a couple times and the same thing happened. I’m a single mom, I’m trying to get everything together because I was going in for testing the following morning for a kidney transplant. I wasn’t supposed to eat after eight. Since I already wasted almost 2 hours, trying to get my order placed, I drove down there. I was been told I had to wait for somebody to come take my order and after standing there for 15 minutes, I asked for a manager. She came out and took my order. 45 minutes later, I received my food, but they told me that they were out of a few things. I had kids in the car, after waiting another 10 to 15 minutes I just decided to leave. They never brought the drinks. I started trying to order this food at 5:45 and we left Cracker Barrel at 8 PM. They told me that it was because the manager is doing the meals for Thanksgiving. I have three different orders that range from $150-$500. (I’m definitely canceling all three of my Thanksgiving meal orders. Considering the fact it’s gonna be a week old and judging by the quality of the food last night I’m not spending that much money on a Thanksgiving meal.) When I got home, I realized the desserts were missing, and a few of the sides were missing. The country fried steak didn’t have gravy. It was cold as a rock. Not to mention, some of my sides were still in pre-prepped bags, and not even warm, cold, as if they just came out of the refrigerator. One of the side items that I had to pay extra for because they were out Of what I ordered, the loaded sweet potato, the toppings were all on the outside of it, and stuck on the outside. I tried calling the store and asking for a manager. I was on hold for 12 minutes and then got hung up on. I called back twice and sat on hold again for another 10 minutes each time. The two guys at the register were very polite and very helpful besides that everyone else wasn’t even trying. It wasn’t even busy inside. So I don’t know what everybody was doing. The managers name was Saima Khan. After all the problems I was asking her if I could just cash out my gift card because I did not want to spend any more money there. I spent almost $100 last night to get treated like that and be missing almost $30 of my order? Probably one of the worst customer Service experiences ever! I worked for Cracker Barrel years ago, and this is totally opposite from the store I worked at. None of these people would be employed at the store I was at.

Hands down this was the most disorganized Cracker Barrel restaurants I have ever been to. This honestly was my first visit here and the first time I did not have breakfast. It started with two people not knowing to to seat people. They simply could not communicate with one another properly and both were confused. As we were being seat, waiters cut us off 3 different times and 2 waiters bumped into each other. We ordered the fried chicken which was extremely lack luster. This was shake n bake without a doubt. If you enjoy shake n bake, you will like the chicken. My salad never arrived even after two people said it was coming. The waiter did bring the manager over to explain how they took it off the bill which was interesting. The side dishes were flavorless. I honestly have never had flavorless corn. How does that even happening? We were told the bread , cornbread and biscuits would be out. Sadly we only got the left over biscuits from breakfast. They were hard and not the normal flacky I am accustomed to at this restaurant chain. Silverware had to be requested as did refills. I noticed this at several tables. One man got up and actually walked into the kitchen for silverware. I sat there watching only one person try and clean tables, waiters squeezing between each other and often running into one another and the staff sit a very pregnant woman in a very tight spot, she later moved. In summary, the food is flavorless, the services needs help and the organizational skills are a mess here. We will not be going back.

We arrived around 8:50 a.m and were seated promptly. We were given a few minutes to order our food. After about 10 minutes passed we placed our order. After about another 5 min we were told there was a big party and the food would be at least 30 min but they will bring us biscuits. We explained we had a flight to catch and couldn’t wait as we knew 30 min could possibly run over. We were told they would talk to a manager. After about 5 min a manager walked over and explained the situation. My wife asked for whatever we could get quick (biscuits already offered). The biscuits arrived shortly after and shortly after our bill for two drinks and biscuits. The large party was there prior to us being seated, the staff could have mentioned the kitchen was behind at that point. They could have mentioned it after we ordered drinks, another opportunity could have been after our drinks arrived our even after we placed our order. I feel our time was wasted we were at the restaurant 40 min to only receive biscuits. The same gentleman who sat us was our waiter and was the same to notify us. The weird part is the party behind us sat down about the same time and as we got the biscuits they were told there food was in the way out. This was a complete waste of a morning and $11.55. Needless to say I doubt we will ever be back. I understand the backlog in the kitchen but communicating the issue up front would have been great as we could have went elsewhere to buy breakfast. Instead our time was wasted!

I want to say that this location has gone downhill, but really it’s all Cracker Barrel locations.

I was able to join the waitlist through the app which was nice, but then after that the app stopped working. I couldn’t pay through the app because it would take me to a browser, make me log in, and then give me no option to pay. We had to wait in line to check out, but I’ll get to that part later.

Our server was semi-friendly, but either rushed us or disappeared for long stretches of time. The menu changed (AGAIN), and now it’s to the point where there’s hardly anything on the menu. You can’t make ANY substitutions, and if you want to order a la carte, get ready to spend AT MINIMUM $5 for a dinky serving size. Oh, if you want 4 slices of French toast, it’s $8.

We asked for a few minutes twice, because she never really gave us a chance to look during those times we asked for. She was right back at our table within 2 minutes. We wanted to order an appetizer, which was a struggle to get her to take down. When that finally came, no small plates came with it, which I guess is the norm bc we didn’t get any the last time.

When we finally ordered our food, again, no substitutions. We’ll gladly pay, but that’s not an option. You would think by reducing the menu to 10 things subs would be allowed. When our food came out, it was practically frisbee’d onto our table by a different server, who didn’t even give us a chance to ask for ketchup, syrup, or anything.

Our server would go missing for long stretches of time; she’d go into the kitchen and then not come out. And if she did, she didn’t have food or drinks or anything.

We both got the eggs and steak tips- the eggs were dry, and the steak tips were horrendously overcooked. The hash brown casserole flavor was there, but the potatoes weren’t fully cooked. We didn’t bother saying anything because 1. It’s not like our waitress was around, and 2. Pretty sure we’d get the same thing again. The biscuits were good, and the gravy was okay. I wanted jelly with my biscuits, but I never got the opportunity to ask bc the biscuits came out when we were 3/4 of the way finished. If they were still baking, I would’ve said to not bring them out.

After the debacle with the app, we got in line to pay. There is no room in that store for anyone to move around. We almost had a tree fall over bc of it. You don’t even have room to shuffle out of the way so that other people can get by. There’s no crowd control of any kind. The host stand was so freaking crowded, and no one had room to move.

When we got to the counter to pay, the cashier asked how was everything, and I said “okay,” because I really just wanted to get out of there at that point and didn’t feel like staying around to talk with someone about it. But it was $50 for breakfast. That’s crazy pants.

Needless to say, this will probably be our last visit to Cracker Barrel for a long time, if it’s not our last.

Edited to add: I see that someone responded to this review. I refuse to click a link to provide information that is right here in this review. A canned response (roughly 2-3 recycled phrases) and a link shows ZERO actual effort to make it right. The final sentence of my review states that i have no desire to return for mediocre service and sub par food.

If y’all want to make it right, perform quality checks on the food you send out and actually train staff on customer service. Not just HOW to do the job. That’s 2...

If I could give a -10 stars I would. The most horrible experience while eating out. My family and I have been going to this location for 10+ yrs. We only live 5 mins away. We love Cracker Barrel and have been to many. We've been to some outside of Texas over the yrs as well. However our waitress was the rudest waitress I've ever encountered in my life. We have dined in the best upscale restaurants around the world as well as mom and pop, chain restaurants etc and I've never experienced such a rude waitress in all my 50 yrs of living thus far. She didn't understand what I wanted to order and kept over talking me. I finally asked for a manager and she took our order. Meanwhile the waitress never bought our water. I saw her eventually helping other customers but ignored us. I asked about our water. When she came back with water she put in on the table and left without saying a word. Never checked on us...no refills on water. The waitress was mad and we waited so long to get our food. Honestly I thought her or the manager had forgotten about us. It wasn't hardly any customers in there. It was after 8pm. When we finally received our food it was incorrect and cold and I told the waitress and she replied " when you are rude don't expect to get your order right". Told manager and at first she was understanding. Once the manager left I heard the waitress in the front inside of the kitchen talking about the situation with other staff. When manager came back to our table I told her and she defended the waitress and blew me off. I told her I didn't want my food. It was cold and my son didn't want his either and ordered something else. Later when the manager bought out my sons food, the manager basically kicked us out saying I was being disruptive and she was defending the waitress. The manager was rude as well. I've never been kicked out of any place restaurant or not. Also had a very bad stomach ache afterwards because I tasted a piece of my food to only realize it was cold and not fresh. The manager's name was Brittany and your staff/team is only as good as your management. Apparently being disrespectful, bringing out cold food, taking so long, and being rude is acceptable and fine now at this particular Cracker Barrel. This location use to have good customer service and the food was warm so we continued to go to this location. I don't know how long management has been there but it's definitely not the same as it use to be. I've already contacted guest relations. I'm not looking for a free gift card/food. I won't be coming back to this location after this. It's sad because we live 5 mins away. Today I drove to the 1-10 location in Katy and the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was very positive, upbeat, made you feel right at home and the manager came around to greet everyone. It was more customers but our waiter was very efficient and bought out the drinks/food in a timely manner. Also the food was hot. The staff didn't know what happened to us at this location. They were just doing what a good restaurant does....To provide/offer great customer service, great management and hot fresh food. I'll drive...
