Checkers — Restaurant in Dade City

Never was a fan of Checkers. The burgers if served hot are good but those frys are horrible. I just don't get it by not giving the option of regular frys instead of those chemical dusted "seasoned" frys eliminates a percentage of customers who enjoy frys unmolested, which is why I seldom go to a Checkers. As fate would have it the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed, which solicited a "let's get something at Checkers" comment so there we were second in line on a Sunday at around 1045am. Three meals off their menu were ordered nothing altered like hold the pickle on.one of them We pay at the window with two 20's and received a few coins back so few you could argue that 40 dollars was spent for three meals. We were asked to park and park we did. 26 minutes later and still waiting, my fiance gets out of the vehicle and walks up to the window to.inquire on our order. She was handed our order at that time, by the temperature of the food it was easy to conclude it had been sitting on the counter for sometime, 26 minutes in 90 degree heat to find out no.one bothered to bring it out to us. That's 40 dollars I can never get back on a meal practically unfit for human.consumption. The place was not slammed at any given time during our wait time no more than three vehicles were in line. I understand sh@t happens but does it always have to happen to me? That 40 may be well spent in hindsight, next time someone suggests Checkers I can mention the frys and now my experience there to shut down that suggestion. I feel my luck is shifting slowly to the good, I will test it...

Our very first experience at a Checkers. We were meeting some friends for lunch and they had suggested we go here. I get being short staffed, I work in the food service industry. The lady who took our order half took it and walked away to make food. Between the addition of cheese and tax that added $2.00 extra onto the order for just 2 sandwiches. One sandwich we order is ALWAYS plain! He eats only cheese, bun and meat. I heard her order it this way, plus I even re said it because they seemed to be confused. The other two people in my group got their food while I waited to order. As I was ordering my food, the other people in my group said one of the sandwiches was wrong. Upon mentioning this to the employees, the lady who half took our order was arguing with us that we said it was supposed to have ketchup, mustard and mayo. I guarantee you we NEVER said this. His sandwiches are always plain. After more arguing and being very rude she finally agreed to remake the sandwich. I finally get my order taken, wait several minutes for only 2 single checker burgers, everyone else is done eating and waiting for me at this point. Nobody else is waiting at the window at this point, they ended up leaving after nobody would take their order. The drive-thru had 1 car and they had at least 3 employees. I then was rudely handed my food by the lady. The outside furniture had so much bird poop on it, that it made it difficult to find a spot to...

I pulled into the drive through at 10:30 PM. And was told by the girl that they were closed I pulled around to the front. Looking through the window, I saw a bunch of the employees inside eating food. Right by the prep line. And deep fryer. A homeless guy was walking up to the window. I rolled down mine and listen to the conversation they offered him food to go around put the stock that a semi had just dropped off into the cooler. The guy was filthy. Riding a bicycle with no teeth covered in Meth scales I walked back up to the window and asked why they had told me they were closed, and the girl said they were just out of apple pies. The other girl took off running holding a sandwich in her mouth toward the back of the store I asked to speak to the manager and she said there wasn't one and whatever food that I wanted she would just give me for free and they didn't give a damn.
