Happy Dayz — Restaurant in Florida

It’s a good bar. One of my favorite places in the world. Lately they hired this new karaoke girl who really just DOES NOT understand the clientele of the bar. This is a old school bar that’s frozen in time, and she comes in and replaces the classic rock/country with modern day pop music. I understand she’s doing her job n all, but really. This bar would get 5 stars, but the karaoke really is bad to the point where we stopped coming on Saturday because of it. I’m writing this on a Friday and I guess she’s doing this on Friday as well. They used to have another guy who hosted karaoke and would take breaks to play some classic rock songs in between, but they fired him for whatever reason and picked this lady. If the short lady is there behind the computer, just be prepared to hear music that really doesn’t match the vibe of the bar. If she’s reading this, please just know that the clientele of this bar for the most part is old school classic, and we enjoy that type of music.

Well i have been going in to the bar late at night late. Practicing playing pool⁵ I have a service dog Max who is my 24/7 companion. I try not to inconvenience anyone or go to really busy places with Max. He is a very large Belgian Sheppard. But for the past two nights the manager has been trying to discourage me from going there. The night before last he watches the place via cameras. He had the bartender come over after we had gotten twisted tea from the bar and had sitting for about 10 minutes and had her ask us to leave. I explained that Max was my service dog and she agreed to allow us to stay. After taking a picture of him in his service vest that he was wearing. Last night we waited till almost 1 am to go in only to be treated like we were not welcome. We were allowed to sit off to the side and have 1 drink. That or have the outside. So I have had a good time the other times i was there but after the last two nights . Well I'm pretty sure it's time to find a new place...

Some may call it a ‘Dive Bar’, but the great thing about Happy Dayz is those kind of people aren’t really ever going to be there.

If you’re looking for a non-chain, non-expensive, well stocked bar that’s got pool tables, karaoke on Thursday, plenty of room and isn’t hard to find, Happy Dayz is definitely worth checking out.

The food only comes in a glass or bottle, but it’s always been quite tasty.

The staff behind the bar has always been very friendly, knowledgeable about their trade and very generous with the pouring, so tip them well. The staff that keeps people from getting into trouble are very good at their job, so...don’t be a douche.

If you walk in the door looking for a place to have a good time around good people, you’ll walk out knowing you’ve had one.

Note they’re open until 2am and smoking is allowed inside. If smoking isn’t your thing, the place is big enough to still find a spot that won’t upset your delicate...
