IHOP — Restaurant in Dade City

My 33 yr old son and I came to eat on April 23,2025 We weren't really seated ,just pointed to a booth and said sit there. When the waitress came she took our drink order and asked were we ready to order.We were never given menus.People behind us were stating their hashbrowns were not cooked or even browned. After she took our order and another tables.We didn't see her again.two other tables that ordered after us got their food.we hadn't even received our appetizer.There was food sitting waiting to be served.I asked another waitress could some of the food there be ours and asked what happened to our waitress. She snaps at me saying my waitress is the cook,someone didn't show up and not clear about another person.During this time other customers are asking questions and at least 5 tables left because of lack of service. Add the wait.During all of this the bus boy was having to seat people,get drinks etc.The one waitress made rude comments and had attitude towards customers and when people stated how cold /undercooked food was. Our quesade was a tad warm,my sons chicken was overcooked and Waffles were barely warm.The very middle of my pancakes was warm.My scrambled eggs,Hashbrowns, bacon were all cold. This meal cost me $49.Like everyone else i am struggling. I brought my son to ihop because it's a favorite and it's actually the only restaurant he'll eat in at.Due to his autism.All the tension from the waitress and other customers really affected him. And I could not address the terrible situation with him there because of how it affects him for there to be issues. I'm really disgusted with our experience.For alot of people going out to eat is an everyday thing.For us...

Went today with my family on this special valentines day. We had a horrible experience, the waitress forgot her little book where she writes down the orders,so unprepared. My husband orders sirloin steak with grits and 15 mins later the waitress comes back and says oh sorry we are out of steak and grits,and also out of sausage for my meal to ugh. So he orders hash browns which he gets it after he finished his meal which is silly. The waitress also forgets to bring me creamer for my coffee so my husband had to get up and go hunt for creamer from another table and on top of that she leaves an empty coffee container at the table gzzz plus I asked for extra napkins and she kept forgetting to bring it. On top that I told the waitress not to put tomatoes, onions, on my sons cheeseburger and of course she didn't listen after telling her twice. Waitress left the food on table after it was made and we waited another 20 mins for her to bring after seeing her ignore the food. What I didn't like was that she stack the food on top of each other which was unsanitary gzz plus pancakes taste not great. I ate the food because I was hungry and didn't want to argue about it. This Ihop really lacks inventory of food, they should be writing down what they running low of not wait until a customer orders and realize they are out, needs waitresses that know what they are doing with better communication. Better service, it seem more like a waffles house quality which sucks big time. On top that I almost got charged for something I didn't order, thank goodness I check my receipt. When we first got in that evening, we had to wait to be seated when there were a lot of available tables. We were then guided to our table, which was not cleaned. The floor was a mess with food that was scattered all over. The personnel did not even notice until it was brought to their attention. We requested a different table. They had to wipe it down, but instead of letting us sit while cleaning the table, they made us stand and wait some more. My boyfriend lost his appetite due to the poor customer service. Thus, he only had coffee. I decided to order, and our waitress decided to sit, have some soda, and chat with another coworker who was wrapping silverware with just a fork and knife at one of the corner tables. My partner had to personally approach her to give my order, and lol, he had to ask for sugar for his coffee because what he got was salt and pepper with 1 creamer.

The saving grace was Ashley 🙌👏. She was able to offset our disappointment with the way we were treated. Ashley did an excellent job with customer recovery. I am surprised that she's not the manager because she was great and very personable.

The food was good but unfortunately the service was very poor 😱. If you want great food with great customer service, I could not recommend this place unless you are one of the lucky ones to get Ashley as their waiter.
