I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. Woodbridge does not have many good Korean restaurants and my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try because why not?
Atmosphere: -To be honest? Not the best restaurant atmosphere. Place is small (maybe 8 tables), AC is weak, and the place looked run down.
However,
Service: We walked in at 6:30 PM of a Monday Night and was greeted by a sweet old lady who seemed to be serving by herself ( and maybe the owner) She was very attentive, insightful and friendly, we had a fun interaction with her through out the meal
Food: -Delicious -The food was so authentic. -Food was slightly on a saltier side;however, every food was so comforting, and reminded us of the actual old korean food where sugar didnt take such a prominent place in the recipe. I ordered 제육구이 or spicy pork, my fiancee ordered 따로국밥, or a soup and rice (first thing on the second page of the menu). Both of them, including the side dishes, were fresh, tasty, and comforting.
If you are a true korean, who remembers food from 90s or early 2000s, this is the place to go. We scraped to the bottom of every single plates in this restaurant.
Yes, there is a mandatory 20% tip attached to every transaction it seems like, that should probably be announced to the customers in a better way; however, the lady was so nice we had no problem with it at all. If we had an option we would have given 30%.
Glad we were able to give this place a try.

Read moreAfter some Retail Therapy at Potomac Mills, I scoured Google for some dinner options. I absolutely love Korean cuisine, so when Korean Grill showed up in the results, I didn’t hesitate to give them a shot. I am so glad I did! Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Jae Yook Gui (aka Spicy Pork). Delicious Banchan sides were brought out just prior to the Protein, which consisted of Kimchi, Cucumber Kimchi, Bean Sprouts, and Pickled Radish. The Jae Yook Gui came out sizzling on a platter, which allowed for further Maillard reaction of the Pork. The pork was very flavorful, tender, and spicy! This whole meal was around $20, which was a steal considering the portion size, and how delicious the food was. Staff were super nice and accommodating, even though I got there just a little before 7. Unassuming restaurant, cozy atmosphere, delicious food, great prices. Could not ask for anything more! If you are spending your day shopping at Potomac Mills, take the quick 5 min drive over to Korean Grill. You will not be...
Read moreWent there today with 3 Adults and 2 Kids. Ordered Bulgogi, Galbi and Hot pot Bibimbap. We paid via credit card and it took the waitress a while to come back with our card. When she returned with our card she had already added a tip of $20 and change in the tip section and stated that with a bill of $100 and + and 5 people or more, they do add a 20% tip automatically. My husband and our friend are Korean and we have never experienced this before in any Korean restaurant we went to. Sure to say we feel cheated and this wasn’t mentioned on their menu nor inside the restaurant. A tip is always optional and not required by law. Food was so-so and overpriced. We asked about the tip that she had written into the tip section and asked why this was written in for us when it shouldn’t! Her response was all restaurants do this! What a fraudster! Customers be aware. Will not recommend or revisit! Shame on...
