Vocelli Pizza — Restaurant in Dale City

I ordered stuffed crust Hawaiian pizza, boneless wings, and breadstick bites.

The food was okay, the pizza crust wasn't good. Tastes like cardboard, not enough cheese for adding $4 for the stuffed crust.

Definitely expensive compared to some other pizza places and just doesn't taste good enough to warrant the price.

My biggest gripe is the delivery. Places like pizza hut and dominos are definitely better at keeping you updated about your order. I got a text message saying my order wad delayed due to traffic, which was fine, but that was the only text message I received. No more updates. The reason I do text notifications is because I'm gaming with a headset on and won't hear knocking on the front door.

Well, guess the driver delivered the food and left it on the porch. No notification it arrived or that he was approaching, which dominos and pizza hut do. He'll, dominos has a tracker as well.

By the time I saw the food on the porch, food was cold. $64 for some cold food, including a $10 tip. Couldn't be bothered to even notify me that the food was delivered. I don't order vocelli very much and I see why.

IN RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT:

That is why I signed up for the SMS notifications. THE FACT IS, I SPENT $64 and not only was I not notified that my food was delivered, but no one bothered to even call me. YOU ARE TELLING ME THE BEST YOU CAN DO IS DROP IT OFF AND LEAVE?! $64 and I can't get a text, phone call or any type of notification? That is the best customer service Vocelli can offer?

As stated previously, Dominos, paisanos, pizza hut will all notify when the driver is approaching the home and WHEN THE FOOD IS DELIVERED. Never had an issue with any other pizza company, but you are telling me Vocelli's can't do better? So let this be a review for other customers that vocellis will charge you higher prices and offer you crappier customer service and subpar quality food.

Pizza came ice cold and I called the store and spoke to a manager name Dex and all he said was we have the driver pick it up and then gonna say don’t worry about paying for it...duhhhh why would I pay for a pizza that I didn’t eat and y’all was coming to get it...so I waited for them to pick it up and bring my money back like the manager Dex said they were gonna do...and never showed and the store was alright closed by the time I got the pizza and it took a hour and 15 minutes for them to deliver it to me...tomorrow I will be going back up there to get my money back for the pizza I didn’t and not gonna eat...the lease they could of done is said I can throw it away or eat it...which I would of thrown it away like I had to when they didn’t come get it...so, they could of gave me a credit for the pizza but they have managers who don’t know what they doing but to say they going to bring me my money...I would of just brought the pizza up there... and b.t.w I called the store over 10 times to see when they coming to get the money...of course, no answer!! Go figure and I will not ever ever order from them again...costumer service is the key to a great business!!! And they lack with the kids they have has a manager...

This place will never get my business again. I placed an order at 6:30 pm and was given a ETA of 45-60 minutes. An hour and half later I still had not received my order nor a courtesy call explaining the hold up. After calling back to back I finally manage to get someone on the phone. Apparently the delivery driver had been in an accident.

I was still expected to pay full price and had to request a discount! When I asked if the food was still warm I was given a nonchalant "It should be". We ended up having to wait another hour for our order to arrive. Did I mention that we are 4.4 mi away from the store?

The pizza? Cold. Wings? Cold. Soda? Cold. At least they got something right. Also, the driver that arrived told a different story then Sherry, who we spoke to earlier on the phone. Apparently he was delivering orders on his bike when it started to rain. He did not feel competent enough to drive in the weather being a novice.

Our order was orginally $32 and we ended up paying $17. I will never give this place my money and I advise that you...
