I ordered 2 meats(pulled pork and brisket) and 2 sides (corn pudding and green beans). I'm not sure which was the brisket and which was the pulled pork on my plate. One of them tasted like pulled chicken. So, it's possible I didn't receive what I ordered. Meats were lacking that overwhelming smoke flavor you're looking for. Dump as much spicy BBQ that you can to get some sugar flavor in there at least. My wife ordered the ribs. They were slightly overcooked and had a very strange 'fish' smell to them. Would not suggest getting them. The corn pudding is a must get. Green beans you can absolutely pass on - yours are better. The peach cobbler tasted store bought and was in a plastic container that made it seem like it came from Walmart. We did get the food fast and with a smile. The atmosphere was unique. Wrestling pic included. Would be a good food place if they can figure out the food part.

Delicious. Our first time at Bird's Smokehouse BBQ. We happened on it while looking for something off the interstate 69. My wife spotted the sign as we were exiting. We weren't sure we'd find it. I spotted the sign by a nice green metal roof. We were a bit nervous at first. There were only a couple cars in the lot. But we saw a lady and her children having a picnic under a tree. We knew than we were ok. We went in only a couple folks inside. Took a couple minutes going over the menu. Settled on 1.5 racks of baby back ribs, BBQ beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad and Mac and cheese. All served with corn bread. Drinks are extra, we had water. We drove in. The ribs were good tender but not falling apart. All the items were tasty and quite filling. If we are in the area again we will make the effort to go Here. By the time we left the place was full.

Nice place. The staff was great. Prices and portions are reasonable. I tried the ribs. They were cooked perfectly. Excellent. Their sauces were ok. Next trip, I'll ask for the ribs unsauced and add some at the table. The ribs can stand alone. Their standard house sauce is really heavy on the brown sugar. I was not a fan. I opted for their spicier sauce version and liked that much better. The sides were ok. Standard sweet style potato salad and cole slaw. Nothing special. Their baked beans were the best side, in my opinion. The macaroni and cheese was ok. They do have pretty good cornbread, so give that a try. The restrooms were clean. Overall, we were happy. Thanks for a good experience.

I am replacing my once 4 star review with a 1 star. Even though on their website they ask for you to call ahead for orders over $40. I was calling to place my order and the lady who answered was rude refused to take my order said I would have to come in or at the drive thru. She told me I could spend the same amount of time placing my order at the drive thru then on the phone. I said well we are on the road I was trying to call ahead so we could come by pick it up.. she said doesn't save u anytime... and refused to take my order over the phone. She was unprofessional, and very unpleasant. I messaged their fb to let them know how she acted only to be farther talked to as if they could care less how I was treated. They said they only did call in orders for the pandemic.. still didn't care the lady was rude. When I sent a photo of the site asking for orders over 40 to be made in advance they said oh thats for orders we have to cook ahead. So I asked like mine that was over $40?..after me showing them their site saying for me call and make the order they stopped responding. So I wouldn't go here if your looking for the owners or staff to treat you decent. The food is good but there are plenty of good places to go spend your money then somewhere that doesn't care about the way their customers are treated. And last time I checked this is still a pandemic.. they said they wouldn't do any over the phone orders since they are so short staffed which is all they had to say nicely... kindness goes a long way!

Update: their fb contacted me saying the 40 was not orders over $40 but 40 wings. Which is fine a simple I'm sorry hon we are short staffed we can take call ins atm would have been fine I would have said no problem see you in a bit..

Instead we got a sorry if you felt you recieved poor treatment... instead of an actual professional person taking responsibility for their employee being rude to a former customer. And let's not pretend that their food isn't costing a arm and a leg. In order to keep people paying the expensive prices might treat them with a...

Only positive here is the employees are nice.

Cash register gal said their wings are great but they’re sold out (on Labor Day weekend you couldn’t stock enough wings? Really?)

They don’t have sliced brisket, which tells me they don’t cook it right. I got pulled pork and pulled brisket. Everyone at the table agreed the meat is dry, and every bite tasted waterlogged. Not to mention pulling brisket should be a crime… anyways.. the watery meat told me they likely cook the meat and freeze it to store it. Meaning they probably thaw it right before they serve it to you. The loaded baked potato was topped with an overwhelming amount of sour cream and cheap nacho cheese.

The inside looks nice, but it’s not built for noise control. It’s fully open and there are no features to dampen noise, so if it’s busy or there’s loud crying babies in the room you won’t be able to hear anyone talking at your table.

The plates are plastic disposable plates, which further add to the cheap vibe the place gives off all things considered.

We are locals and this was our first and last time there. We won’t be back.

If you’re looking for quality meat and a not so lackluster experience, go to...

I have tried Bird's twice now for lunch while working in the area. I will start of saying the building is nice and clean, the folks working there are extremely friendly and it looks the part of a BBQ joint. Unfortunately the smoked meats are not very good. The brisket sandwich is not sliced but is pulled, like pulled pork. It was over cooked and did not have much natural juices, just a lot of BBQ sauce. Most often brisket is sliced accross the grain or chopped into cubes. The second time I visited I got the smoked ribs. The bones did pull right out but was severely over cooked. There was no pink meat, the meat was tough, extremely flaky, and had to be coved in BBQ sauce to help it go down (I should have taken a photo). Ribs made correctly shouldn't need any sauce at all. The sides we alright and no real complaints but also no accolades.

This is a friendly establishment that could be great if they could smoke their...
