From the moment I stepped into Alebrijes Cafe, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance is a delightful blend of cozy and vibrant, with colorful decor that pays homage to traditional Mexican folk art. The walls are adorned with whimsical alebrijes, which bring a unique and joyful atmosphere to the dining experience.
The service here is nothing short of exceptional. The staff are not only amazing but also very friendly, greeting customers with warm smiles and ensuring that every need is met with promptness and courtesy.
As for the food quality, it’s clear that Alebrijes Cafe takes pride in serving dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The chilaquiles, which have quickly become my favorite, are a testament to this. They are, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had in the DFW area. Each bite is a perfect harmony of flavors and textures, making it a must-try for any breakfast enthusiast.
The presentation of the food is as impressive as its taste. Each dish is carefully plated, showcasing the vibrant colors and meticulous preparation that goes into every order. The variety of options on the menu ensures that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re craving a classic breakfast or a creative twist on traditional favorites.
And let’s talk about portion sizes. Alebrijes Cafe strikes the right balance. The portions are generous enough to satisfy your hunger without overwhelming you. It’s that sweet spot where you leave feeling content but not uncomfortably full.
Now, let’s address the cleanliness. Alebrijes Cafe maintains a spotless environment. Tables are promptly cleared, floors are clean, and the overall hygiene is commendable. It’s evident that they take pride in providing a clean and inviting space for...
Read moreWhen you walk into Alebrijes Café you’re immediately greeted by the beautiful couple that owns Alebrijes. But it doesn’t feel like you’re being greeting into an establishment but into your Tia’s and Tio’s home. I immediately felt welcomed and at home, in a restaurant. I was greeted with hola hermosa, and preciosa and princessa, the care and love is very much felt. The menu is on the wall to your right and you’re able to look at the entire menu at once. I’ve been twice, and both times, I was greeted the same exact way and felt the same. The love you feel is absolutely expressed in the food as well. The first time I went for breakfast and had the heuvos rancheros, and it was absolutely delicious. The second time I went, I had the papas tacos and they were amazing. The food is beyond “good” or “great” or “full of flavor.” Yes, both dishes tasted amazing, but it was beyond just what I tasted. The experience I had brought me back to being a kid visiting my Abuelita, and as an adult now I see, she wasn’t just making me food, she was creating a dish made with love. While I couldn’t see how the food was being made, I felt it was made with the same care and love my Abuelita made her food for me those weekends when I visited her. Food just tastes different when it’s made from love. I cant just say the food was good, or great because it reached beyond what I tasted, but how I felt. The second time I went I invited my coworkers for lunch because I wanted to share the experience and they loved it just as much as I did. From beginning to end my experience was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in Dallas, at a restaurant. It doesn’t even feel right calling it a restaurant. It feels like home....
Read moreNot sure how to start, but it began with excitement due the the nice reviews I saw. So much that I invited a good friend to meet me there and I took my son, it was 3 of us. We were offered homemade pastries during our wait which I loved. Unfortunately I regret going there. The food was not very flavorful, I must admit. My son and I had to add salt to our food which we rarely have to do when eating out. But the disappointment was discovered after I left. My friend paid the gracious lady $20 to deduct from the ticket while I was gone to the restroom. So I unknowingly paid the full amount, with no details of what I was paying for on the receipt. It was a custom amount according to the receipt texted to me. For the 3 of us, the tab came out to $62.24, and after we left, my friend asked me if I was given $20 off and that's when she explained to me what she did. Come to find out, my friend was told that they had applied it towards the tip. For 3 people in a humble environment, mind you 2 of us ate breakfast and the other enchiladas, that tab turned out to be pricey 😞 A...
