So, this place is good. But not great. Their selling point is: "we've been around for 30 years." My response? "yes... I can tell."
The decor is outdated. The restaurant itself seems like it needs a good solid overhaul combined with some deep cleaning. The food they serve is the classic Italian dishes that you would see anywhere else. Nothing special, nothing to out of the box. But the presentation and flavor is like something you would've seen 30 years ago as well. I had the lobster ravioli which was ok. Filled well, which was nice, but a lot of sauce. My co-eater had the stuffed shells which were big, but the taste was just not good. I can't really put my finger on it, but I tried some and it was just off a little. The bread was your basic french bread. No seasoning, but it wasn't bad. Good for dipping in all the extra sauce on your plate. The dessert was good; Tirimisu probably pre-made, which is ok. The prices weren't bad, so whatever. The thing that bothered me about service is that the TV was set to something the owner/manager wanted to watch... a boring car show on some random cable channel. Doesn't really appeal well to wide audiences.
But anyway, to the point. The food wasn't horrible but I've had better. The service was acceptable, but I think the menu, design, and concept needs updating. Maybe this will happen and they'll be able to do business like they did in their glory...
Read moreI wouldn’t come back here again. The calamari was colossal sized, rubber rings that could be compared to the size of large onion rings. I’ve never seen calamari that size and they didn’t include any lemon. When the food got to me, the whole bag smelled VERY fishy. The fettuccine alfredo was very basic. The sauce was thin/watery and lacked all flavor. Had to add it in myself once I got home. My to go order did not include plastic ware and the bread was just tossed in the bag, unwrapped, (in a pandemic) and all of that for $30? Delivery times were estimated at 70 minutes and my lunch is only 30 minutes. The only reason why they get two stars is because the food was ready when I arrived. If you like to eat food you could have very easily made yourself at home, but don’t feel like cooking, this is the spot to you. I normally don’t like to leave critical reviews, but I don’t feel like I got the most bang for my buck and for $30 I...
Read moreGood pasta and calamari. Lobster sauce (pink sauce) is good. But if they mess up your order they don't own up to it at all. They'll fix it, but charge you for it in top of that because they don't get the concept of customer loyalty or how to maintain a returning clientel. We ordered because we both needed to be up early. I gave what they did deliver to my gf and I get to sit here and wait for a second, late delivery that they insisted was no ones fault and still felt obligated to charge us for. Its not that expensive, but their ideas on fixing their own mistake prioritizes making the most they can on a 10 dollar meal rather than admitting they messed up. I'm willing to pay more for a restaurant that values customer loyalty. Very disappointed. Two favorite Italian places went out of business lately so this is our current to to, but not after this. Part of being an adult is admitting mistakes. They seem to be above...
