Aggresive and rude management and Insects and Roaches! We stopped by for lunch. Ordered the meatballs, one beer and two iced teas. I went to the men's room and immediately saw a dead cockroach under a ladder being stored in the men's room (which is very, very close to the kitchen). The waitresses had been somewhat nice to us in our brief time in so I quietly told them about the dead roach in the men's room, which was also not very clean. They told me they were sorry. Then service got TERRIBLE. A manager never came to our table, even though there were only 4 tables sat. One waitress came and asked if we had made a choice for our meal. We informed her after what I saw, we would just take the check, and would not be needing the teas. I also asked to speak to a manager since I was surprised one did not come out already. The manager came out and I asked him very calmly and quietly if he was made aware of the dead roach near the kitchen. He said yes, he removed it and went on to tell us that they have bugs, he does not try to hide it, and they have pest control..and he would show me the pest control receipts. I told him we would just like to leave, but since we were not staying and would not be drinking the teas, please remove them. He muttered passive aggressivley as he left our table that if we wanted free teas, then fine, he would do it. We were already floored at that point. We had already paid and were getting ready to leave when he CAME BACK to our table to tell us louder, to where all the tables could now here, that yes, they did have bugs and roaches, and he wasn't trying to hide them. They spray, the bugs and roaches die, then they pick them up! I asked him why he came back to the table to confront us when we had already paid and were just leaving. He repeated it again adding we were insinuating they don't take care of it! Everyone in the restaurant was looking at this point. We left. After experiencing his combativeness and hearing his "defense" about spraying, the bugs and roaches dying, and them picking them up daily , we will never go back. But, City of Dallas inspectors should. As we were leaving we looked around and this restaurant was very dirty. Light fixtures, a/c vents and diffusers, floors, decorations. This establishment needs a...
Read moreSo disappointed in this place. We started coming here when we first moved to the area about a year ago. Every time we go, there was always an issue. Wait staff was short, wrong items, staff forgetting our table but we passed it off because we wanted to support local. Now that Covid-19 is changing everything we wanted to support them even more. Our first takeout order we waited for 1.45 for our food when we were told it would be 30 minutes and kept getting the run around from staff when we asked for a refund and for them to keep the food and the refused. We figured it was right when the takeout rules were placed and we decided to cut them a break. Tonight we tried them again wanting to support a local business. We were told our order would be ready in 45 minutes. We called this time and they said we’re running a little late so we waited an additional 15 minutes. We called. Same story, another 15. So we got there ready for our food and they said our order isnt ready. We waited another 15 to find out our order was given to someone else by accident. We asked to speak with the manager and he refused to come out to talk with us. We left and called from the car and we asked to speak with him again and someone there told us he was too busy cooking. We asked what happened to our food again and they said they gave away our pasta but they still had our pizzas there. We asked to please have them delievered to us then the man on the phone said we actually threw them away because they sat too long. The individual on the phone had the audacity to tell us we can place another order but it would take an hour and a half. I can go on and on about this and that but bottom line is we will not be back. We tried to support them but clearly they do not have it together, Covid-19 or not. What upsets us the most is the owner/manager refusing to speak with us. Just not a great way to run your business. Please think twice about the other Italian restaurants in our area...
Read moreFirst time having dinner here. Suggested by a friend. The atmosphere was lovely, quiet and inviting. We sat down very quickly with no wait. It was a Sunday evening around 5pm. From there, it got worse. The waiter never introduced himself. He was quick and non informative. I had no idea what was popular or any suggestions as a first timer. The menu was easy to read, but lots of choices. I was looking for something reasonable on calories, maybe something grilled, but couldn’t find anything so I went with something I also get at Italian places-Eggplant Parmesan. I like to say being European myself, that I know a good eggplant dish. I wanted to substitute the pasta for a vegetable but was not able too without a massive up charge. My friend ordered a chicken Alfredo. Food came out quickly. At first glance, I wondered what I had ordered. It looked like lasagna. I asked if this was correct and they said yes. It looked strange. Was very cold and had no eggplant in it. Just cheese and a lifeless, flavorless tomato sauce. I was disappointed. The dish was a bust. Where’s the breaded eggplant? There was a massive side of pasta with that horrible tomato sauce. No garlic, no flavor. Was like a can of tomato’s were dumped on the top. I had a hard time getting it down. I ate maybe 5 bites and left the rest. My friend seemed to like his Alfredo sauce, but he had ordered it before and knew what to get. Unfortunately my first experience was not good. I don’t think I’d want to try it again. I’ll just stick to the Italian places I...
