First let me say, I rarely write reviews. If I do, they are rarely bad reviews. However, I feel the need to let people know about the service that my wife and I received (or didn't receive I guess) at this place. To start off, we called the restaurant to try and place a takeout order, but no one answered. So, we decided to just take a short drive there to order and then run an errand while our food was being prepared. We get there and it takes an extended amount of time for anyone to even say a word to us. Then one of the waitstaff comes to our table and asks if we will be dining in or taking out - to which, we replied "taking out." Upon saying this, the waitress immediately leaves the table without asking what our order is or whether or not we were ready to order. Between the time she left without reason and came back to the table to take our takeout order, it was 20 minutes - during which time she took 3 orders over the phone and one order from a table. We wanted to leave but, I figured we'd just ask that our order was prepared before the 4 orders she took AFTER we got there. When we asked this, the waitress refused and walked away saying that she couldn't help us. This is not the first time we have received bad service and had extended wait times at this restaurant, but this experience will be our last. To give the restaurant some credit, the food is OK. We've come here in the past, mostly because of proximity to our home. You'd do much better to drive 1.5 miles to Bryan Street and eat at Bangkok City, which has better food and MUCH...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe people working here were nice and the restaurant was clean and had a good vibe. However I can not justify giving this place more the 2 stars, because unfortunately my husband and I ordered the pad Thai here, it looked and smelled good, however it was too sweet with 0 spice in it even though I ordered spicy and he ordered ānative Thai spiceā. That alone wouldnāt make me leave such a low rating, however I am 98% positive that the food gave us both food poisoning, my husband was sick for hours and couldnāt even leave the bathroom and I also experienced similar issues; but less severe then he had it. The only reason I am not 100% positive that it was food poisoning is because we didnāt go to a doctor to find out for sure. Iāve never had food poisoning before until now. But it sure as heck seemed like it. We didnāt get sick until after we ate the food and we were fine about 24 hours later after a lot of puking and uh other bathroom issues that Iād rather not write on a website about food. $25 to get sick; no thanks. Despite the nice people who work here we will not be back; I donāt want to ever get sick like that again, and I donāt like seeing my husband...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to support a neighborhood spot. Unfortunately, I'm sorry, I won't be able to again. Maybe I just ordered the wrong stuff at the wrong time? Maybe they thought the one weird order for my daughter meant that nobody liked regular Thai food? Maybe my expectations for Thai food are wrong, or there are regional differences I'm unaware of (I grew up with the Thai restaurants of Southern California) - in which case my apologies for the ill informed opinion.
Regardless, this time none of what we got was to our taste - at all. We had the bad luck to get a chuck of seasoning in our chicken fried rice. Everything tasted off to me. I tried other food at home to make sure in wasn't sick ... but no, it was just the food across three dishes (all chicken), none of it was for us.
I picked the food up to go, so there was no chance for them to correct. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, If you go in person maybe you'll have a...
