Goldrush Cafe — Restaurant in Dallas

I found this little gem of a Cafe running errands across the street. Now that I have found it I'm definitely going to come back. Judging by how crowded it was when I got there and the whole time I was there it seems I'm late to the party on this place. It's hard to mess up bacon, eggs n hash browns but I've seen it done before. My eggs were perfectly overeasy, thick cut bacon done just right and finally a cook that understands "well done/twice fried or extra crispy hashbrowns" The coffee kept coming and was fresh and flavorful. The best part? My waitress was a beautiful, super friendly, and personable young lady. She was always smiling/laughing while making small talk with everyone she came into contact with. Everything is fantastic here! I love the chicken fried steak and eggs. The coffee is the kind that isn't great but dang it works wonders. I love the chill atmosphere for those mornings after a long night. It truly is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Confused why I gave it 1 star with such a raving review? To get the attention of the owners. Open your flippin restaurant on Sundays!! Who thought it was a good idea to close a popular breakfast spot on Sundays?? If its a matter of giving your staff a break, then close a different day of the week that won't make as much money. It's just a bad business move to be closed on the most popular breakfast day of the week. Seriously, this place has 5 stars for me. Only 1 star for the open hours. There was a 15 minute wait to get seated but I tell you, it was worth it. I had the Avocado Burger and it was scrumptious. I pondered why I can't make a burger that tastes this good at home and came to the conclusion that Goldrush Cafe actually sprinkles gold flakes in their food. Okay, maybe not. But I was either really hungry after that 15 minute wait or that was one magical burger.
