Walked in the door with no greeting despite being one of only 3 customers in the store. The cashier was staring off into space with his arms crossed and still never greeted me. I placed my order and the only words he ever spoke was "what kind of drink?". Tried to get powered to drink but it tasted like straight water. Tried the lemonade, same thing, tasted like water, the diet coke nozzle sprayed all over the place. Settled for a coke. When I went to take a seat, most of the tables and chairs were dirty. There was food, trash and crumbs on the table, chairs and all over the floors. It appears to be too much to have all been done from time of opening to 11:30am. The one clean-ish looking spot I chose, I sat down and the seat was sticky. Every TV was off or in standby. There was one of two pendant lights in the whole place that was at eye level and had a burned out bulb. The restroom needs a good clean and was out of toilet paper so someone on the staff put about 5 or 6 napkins in there. There were ants crawling on tables. The food was OK. I had to ask for a straw and napkins. Hands down the worst DQ I've been to, which is such a shame for a newer and more modern location. It would be nice to have a regional manager stop by and sort this store out, because apparently the staff here has...
Read moreFrom the confines of my vehicle, I've only interacted with this Dairy Queen establishment through the impersonal interface of their drive-thru, thus precluding any assessment of the interior ambience. However, I must say, the attendants manning this service window have always been the epitome of courteousness - a small beacon of decorum in an otherwise mundane tableau.
The main affront to my sensibilities lies in the chronic malfunctioning of their ice cream machinery, a most vital cog in the Dairy Queen wheel. It's been either a lamentable case of the machine breaking down or the ice cream not achieving its intended frozen state. As a patron of refined tastes, I find such ineptitude bewildering and an absolute travesty to their brand's reputation.
It is a quandary, reminiscent of the famous debacle at McDonald's that led to litigation, making me question how such a prestigious franchise tolerates such operational blunders. I can only hope that this establishment does not descend into a similar abyss of litigation, a truly undesirable coda for what should be an enchanting ice...
Read moreLeaving HD and saw DQ. Didn't know it was there and I just happened to be craving a blizzard. Pulled in to drive thru at 9:03pm. I ordered and the person's reply was "at the window." Two cars ahead of me. After what seemed like a lifetime in "fast food" time I finally get to the window to see a girl with a headset chomping away at her dinner while another guy with a headset on is talking to her with his back to me. At first I thought, no way you're eating where your customers can see you. We made eye contact. Over a period of 30 seconds her eyes would glance my direction and in between bites she'd give a nod to the guy who was talking to her. I heard a blender going, so I assumed the drive thru person was making my shake. Finally girl comes over to take my money and....you know at this point I've spent more time than I should complaining about this. Sign said store was independently owned and locally operated franchise. The franchisee should know what's going on in their store when they're not there. Left the drive thru at 9:17pm with no plans to...
