The service here gets 0 stars, hands down. During our time here, our server rarely came by to check on us even though we dropped by long after the lunch rush had ended (the restaurant was half empty). Normally, I understand this (he might have had other customers to take care of -- that's perfectly reasonable). However what I consider unacceptable is blatantly ignoring the requests of a customer. Our table made two requests while we were here: #1 - we asked our server to an order of Goat Chips to our meal after he had already submitted our order to the kitchen. He said he would take care of it for us. We get our food, and our order of chips is nowhere to be found. Zero explanation from our server as to whether he just forgot about it. #2 - We paid the bill (and we made sure to ask our server about the Goat Chips. He told us they weren't charged -- but STILL no explanation as to what happened with them). After paying the bill, we asked our server for a copy of the receipt (apparently, you pay with your card at this restaurant and they don't give you a receipt unless you ask). He said he would get it for us. About 20 minutes later, he was nowhere to be seen, so we just walked out without our receipt.

The food is a solid 2 out of 5. The burgers are good, but they're tiny for what you're paying ($12-13 per burger). They're around the size of fast food burgers. So although they taste great, they're kind of a ripoff in terms of how much you're getting for what you're paying.

Don't go here. The food isn't worth it, and the service DEFINITELY isn't worth it. Go to Porky's Burgers (on Gus Thomason) or Don Burger (on Broadway, if you're willing to travel a little further) for quality burgers that are ACTUALLY worth the price you pay. I'll never...

This is my first experience at the Rodeo goat in the Casa Linda location. Right up front I must say that our waiter his name was Porter was absolutely fantastic so friendly he was so helpful with the menu for me because I wanted to change some of the things on some of the burgers and kind of turned it into my own thing and he was lovely about helping me do that. He had our appetizer out in a very quick amount of time and it was hot and delicious it was their queso and chips over-the-top fantastic the best I've ever had. It wasn't very long until our food came along absolutely perfect Porter was there to asking did we need refills on our drinks.. as he walked away up came the manager the manager recognized my husband from the other Rodeo Goat from many many years ago which was really nice as I told him how great Porter was he let me know that he had only been working tables about 2 weeks or less and we couldnt believe it but also the manager remembering my husband from so many many years passed from the other rodeo goat.. that I never visited personally but this manager is so genuine and he loves his store you can tell that his customers and his store is so special to his heart it's very easy to see and when you find that and you also find good service on top of some of the most excellent food I've ever ate in my life then you've really found a gem. I hope everybody reads this and I hope that they fill that place up because it deserves it and those people that work there deserve an applaud and I guarantee you'll be telling others like I'm telling you here because I usually don't do this but I plan on going to Rodeo Goat Casa Linda at least once a week now and you will too I really mean this ...best place I've eaten in so long can't...

So when they do it right, this place has my favorite burger in all of Dallas. But they keep on messing it up and this last time was so egregious I won’t be back.

I went in on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was nearly empty. I ordered my burger (the bodacious is my favorite) cooked medium rare, sweet potato fries and a coke. When the food comes the burger is severely overcooked. It is so cooked it was dry as a bone and crunchy. It crumbled to bits after the first bite! So I told them it wasn’t right and they took the burger back, leaving the fries. So… I had to choose between eating the fries while they were hot with no burger or waiting for the second burger to come and eating it with cold fries. Not a good choice!

Finally, the second burger came and, guess what? It was also well done. At this point I was also well done and just gave up. I asked for a box to take it to my dog at home. The server never asked whether the second burger was good or not. Just brought the requested box and the bill.

The kicker? She padded the bill to get a bigger tip! Instead of charging me for one burger, fries and a drink, she charged me for two sbf refunded one, so the system calculated a 20% tip based on the total cost of the 2 burgers. I didn’t realize it until I noticed the next day that the bill was over $30; and when I looked at the receipt, I saw that, although the tip should have been around $4, I paid nearly $8!!!!

This is a bridge too far. I won’t be back! Shame on Rodeo Goat for allowing this kind of deceptive practice! And for ruining the best...

97/100: Rodeo Goat is a place like no other. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a quirky and enthusiastic atmosphere, with funny goat pictures and cheerful messages adorning the walls. The service here is top-notch, and the assistant server even recommended a fantastic beer for me. Now, let's talk about the food. I couldn't resist trying the "cheese fries surprise", and it truly lived up to its name. It was an explosion of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with delight. Just a word of advice – this dish is meant for sharing with friends; it's quite generous! Don't be boring and ask "what's in there?" If you are planning to ask, then, don't request this delightful dish. For the main course, I opted for the bodacious hamburger. Pro tip: Ask your server about the spice level if you're unsure. It makes all the difference. This place is perfect for a gathering with family or friends, whether it's for lunch, happy hour, or any occasion. They even have outdoor games that the whole family can enjoy. With seating available both inside and outside, Rodeo Goat offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience that's worth trying. Don't miss out on the fun and fantastic flavors this place has to offer! Special Note: Check out their unique method of the battle of the burgers. This is wild (in a good manner) hahaha 😆

So I went to Rodeo Goat in Casa Linda today for lunch. This place had been highly recommended by a friend, so here I went. There were enough people there, but it was far from crazy crowded. I ordered a Ranch burger, rare but not raw (they call it "extra pink"), and a house chardonnay. . Strike 1 -- it took 20 minutes to get the chardonnay. Strike 2 -- the waiter had given everyone silverware upon arrival, but not me. Strike 3 -- a different guy comes out with my burger and happily announces it as "medium", so I immediately send it back. Strike 4 -- the second burger, delivered by a third, very apologetic guy, seemed to be ok upon first glance, but on further investigation, turned out to be stone cold and raw (see photo). At this point, I summoned the manager, who apologized profusely. She said they had only been open for two weeks and didn't quite have everything down yet. She also insisted that I take the sweet potato fries (delicious!) with me and she comped the whole tab. One would think that before opening, a place of this renown would have their "stuff" together and would deliver an awesome experience. How long does it take before everything is on point and is delightful? Two and a half weeks? Three? I guess I'll give them another chance, but when??

Newest review below. This was my second visit, the first having an excellent food experience. Today the service was severely slow with a nearly empty restaurant, as it was on my first visit, so that didn’t bother me so much. However, today the food was not up to par! The onion rings seemed to have been warmed over with a weird doughy crust, not the piping hot crispy crust from my first visit. I left them on the table to be trashed. Also lacking severely was the burger, overly salty, no juicy vein of beef drippings to speak of, it was dry and uninspired. Sad because I want this place to thrive, I hope they turn it around soon. At last we have conquered the expectation of mediocrity and arrived at excellence! Bravo for the vibrant atmosphere and attentive hosts and managers on my fourth visit to this establishment. The burger was juicy and perfectly seasoned, while the fries were fresh and unflinchingly delicious when dipped in the thick, sweet, vinegary-ketchup. Ah, and shall we speak of the freshly brewed sweet tea, not as strong a brew as a true Texas sweet tea should be in my opinion, but those sweet gulps of deep caramel flavored liquid collected at base of my tongue and transported me to a memory of a lazy Sunday at my granny’s house. Well done y’all!
