We are from Houston and we stopped in after a soccer tournament. We got the taco special 3 tacos, rice and beans $5.99, fajita was soo flavorful and tender, portion size was great for price. A breakfast taco with bacon and egg on a homemade tortilla, my picky 6 year old finished the whole thing! The chorizo breakfast burrito was stuffed and very flavorful. The barbacoa tacos, also very tender and not greasy at all (another picky kid with no complaints). They also give complimentary sopita as an appetizer, I’m assuming instead of chips and salsa. They place is small so you might not get a seat if you don’t get there at the right time. Also, the cafe de olla was delicious! It’s only $32 for 4 people and 2 drinks! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Don’t let the exterior of the place sway your decision. It’s delicious! And they sell birria by the lb which you can order as your meal. A lot of tables ordered it and it looked so good. Kinda wish I would’ve known...
Read moreI have been going to this place for a few weeks now. They claimed to have lamb barbacoa, so I went, not realizing they actually bring you back your memories. I had 3 barbacoa tacos first, and I felt like Ratatouille, my head went back to Tenango, to Eufemio, to the long lines of people waiting for barcacoa by the kilo. The taste is just like I remembered, and with handmade tortillas! they only dont have the habanero chiles I remember. Otherwise, their barbacoa is just as I remember. If you are from central Mexico and crave real lamb barbacoa, this is the place to go. The whole menu is very tasty. I go for the barbacoa but the chilaquiles and other taco fillings are very good too. If you want your memories back, or real central Mexico lamb barbacoa, this...
Read moreAmazing, this is a must try! Once a week I go looking for little hole in the wall, mom & pop places, and this was one. The food was incredible, growing up in texas alot of the Mexican food is tex-mex or adjusted for market tastes. This place was pure Mexican. The barbacoa was lamb. The huevos rancheros were amazing that were served over ham, tortillas were hot and just made, even the beans were fresh made, not canned, and anyone ordering coffee, which tastes amazing, get a whole pot. This...
