This location is so hit or miss. More miss than hit. Sometimes I go there and the employees treat you nice I wouldn't say really nice, but they're not rude to you. But then other times I go the employees act like they don't want to be there, which is weird because they're motto is Don't be a dick and be kind yet they don't implement it. I went yesterday. I did a mobile order. Let me be specific I got in my mobile order before they paused The mobile orders. I get there. The order was supposed to be ready at 9:05. It's 9:08 and the order still isn't ready. There's only one girl making drinks. She has four drinks in front of her that are halfway made. There's two girls around her that aren't doing anything. One is fixing her hair talking to the girl doing mobile orders, so I asked a girl doing mobile orders, I was like do you really only have one girl making drinks And she responds with. I'm doing mobile orders. I said I get that. But that's not what I asked. I'm asking if you only have one girl making drinks? She needs help and she just responds. I get what you mean and walks away. And proceeded to tell the manager what I said, but yet they didn't do anything about it. I guess they were waiting on Matcha because the girl said she didn't have any more. The girl comes back with all the patience in the world like they didn't have the mobile orders PAUSED because they were so behind. It's just funny they rather pause the mobile orders coming in and stop people from ordering over the phone instead of get the baristas some help and NO the lobby wasn't busy. Nobody was sitting inside the cafĂŠ. It seems like this location has poor management, because every time I go there, the employees are always different you won't recognize a familiar face. The turn over must be really high because even on the day they dropped the Mickey cups they were super busy (as expected) But even the manager apologized "I'm so sorry. We're so understaffed" which is crazy because I'm sure y'all knew ahead of time y'all were releasing these cups, so do y'all not notify them with enough time so they can schedule more employees?? This was the first La La Land location, and to be honest. It's probably...
Read moreMy friend and I met for an evening coffee shop chat last night at La La Land Kind Cafe. I have driven by so many times over the past months as it was being built wondering what the shop would be. I finally stumbled across an article about the concept on Instagram and was immediately hooked. I suggested my friend and I meet at La La Land last night not realizing the cafe was not yet open. We walked in after hours of their soft launch and were greeted by the friendly staff. We were the only customers in the shop.
We were ready to take a pamphlet about the housewarming this upcoming Saturday and walk out, but the barista offered us an iced matcha latte. He said we were welcome to hang around for a couple hours. We made our way to the back patio with our drinks and La La Land-branded hats that a staff member went downstairs to dig up for us in hand.
We were chatting and taking photos of the 5-star insta-worthy patio when the barista walked out with a tray of avocado toast and giant, warm chocolate chip cookies on the house. Everything was delicious. The avocado toast was fresh and had the perfect hint of lemon. The cookies were warm and gooey and HUGE.
The interior features exposed wood beams, a sprawling counter, and seating around a fireplace, serving the coziest living room vibes. It is obvious that hard work and thoughtfulness went into every single detail of the property.
I have never walked into a more warm and welcoming cafe! I have never had better customer service. The concept is everything our community needs - foster kids aging out of the system being provided the opportunities they deserve and taking full advantage by pouring their hearts into their jobs.
La La Land Kind Cafe is the perfect name for this gem in Lower Greenville. Kind vibes all around. I can't wait...
Read moreThis is honestly one of the best cafes Iâve been to in Dallas. First, the place is so aesthetic, itâs yellow themed and looks happy without over-killing it. I thought it would be really tiny from the outside but itâs fairly spacious. I love everything about it! Next, the workers were literally some of the NICEST people! Good service just makes everything taste better in my opinion and they understood the assignment. The baristas welcome you with enthusiasm and the person who took my order was super helpful and know what coffee youâd prefer based on your taste! I was so impressed. Ok now to the coffee, which I can describe with one word: AMAZING. It was the perfect combination of sweet and espresso bitter-y that I had to buy TWO drinks while I was there. With all my time living in Dallas I havenât been able to find a good iced coffee that wasnât too sweet or too bitter until I came to La La Land. Iâm not joking when I say I loved everything about it and they have a wide variety of flavors! I plan to try some of their food options next time I go but overall THE BEST! I was doing work while I was there, so the only thing was that it was a little difficult focusing because of how loud they play the music but the coffee, design and service were...
