Botolino is one of my favorite discoveries this year. We stumbled across it one Monday evening while walking the Lower Greenville strip. I took a friend over there with the intent of introducing them to Steel City Pops after dinner, but I guess they either didn't do popsicles like that or weren't interested. Somehow the Gelato caught our attention. It appeared new to me but could've been there a while. Botolino was so clean, fresh and charming both inside and outside. We had a couple of samples (which the employees were happy to provide) and left with half mango, half berries & lavender. I've been there maybe two or three times now since the discovery and the staff is always calm and pleasant. I love the decor - very open (you can even see the Gelato maker guy & his machinery), clean but colorful and it's almost like you're in a kitchen at home (a really nice home). Their Italian Gelato is like vegan, natural and Gluten free....or at least they have all those options.
After the first night finding Botolino I immediately told my best friend who is an ice cream & yogurt connoisseur. (Well she like loves it and wants to try all the great spots so she has basically become an expert). I was surprised she hadn't been there already, but please believe she was there within 1-2 days and also fell in love. Notable Gelato flavors : mint lemon sorbet, white coffee, mango, passion fruit, pistachio, berries and lavender. I think they may have more flavors than what's listed online so feel free to stop in and try! Every thing about this place says "try me" so next time you're in the area this summer wanting something cold and sweet, just do it.
Note: There's seating outside and free fresh water available inside. Not sure if pets are allowed inside, but I think the name is French for little sweet dog or something. You'll see the pic of one on the wall inside. They also offer cakes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou did it again Yelp Elite! I absolutely loved the last time I was here and nothing has changed with this experience. I love how you walk in and it feels like you are going back in time--the shop has a 50s/60s ice cream diner feel with stools wrapping around the wall and old school music playing in the background. I was warmly greeted and given samples while I waited for my mom who was my plus one. I love that they change their flavors everyday, so there is always something new and you know it is fresh. I tried their crema, salted caramel, vanilla with carmalized figs, and vanilla with chocolate bits. Everything was so amazing and so light. There was tons of flavor without the heaviness and weight of sugar.
When my mom arrived I checked out the Vanilla with Star Anice. I had never had a flavor quite like this before and it wasnt until my mom told me that star anice is a spice and it is used a lot in cookies that it jogged my memory. I immediately knew I wanted a scoop of this and some of the crema. Wow--I ate both so fast and the combination of the flavors was just heaven. I love that their gelato is real and it does not skimp on the flavor.
It was my moms first time here and she plans not to make it her last. She had their chocolate, mango, and star anice flavors and she fell in love!
This is one of my favorite dessert spots in DFW hands down because of the great service and amazing gelato!! So yummy! Thank you so much Yelp for allowing us to experience this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited today Botolino Gelateria Artigianale in Dallas, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! Since they opened their first shop in 2015, Iāve heard so many great things about this gelateria, but nothing prepared me for the delightful treat that awaited me. After trying their gelato, I was so impressed that I even did my own research to understand the magic behind the flavors I was tasting.
The moment I walked in, I could see why Botolino has become a favorite among locals. The gelato is crafted using traditional Italian methods, which gives it a creamy, rich texture that is simply divine. Itās no wonder theyāve won awards like āBest Gelato in Dallasā and have been recognized in various culinary competitions for their innovative flavors.
The variety at Botolino is impressive. I tried the rich Pistachio, mascarpone with figs and the decadent Stracciatella. Each flavor was bursting with authentic taste, and I could truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients used. It was like taking a little trip to Italy with every bite!
What really stood out to me was the friendly staff, who were eager to share their passion for gelato. They offered me samples and helped guide my choices, making the experience even more enjoyable.
In short, my visit to Botolino Gelateria Artigianale was nothing short of amazing. If youāre in Dallas and looking for high-quality gelato, do yourself a favor and stop by. You wonāt be disappointedāI know Iāll be back...
