Pickle & Pepper by Hall’s — Restaurant in Dallas

overpriced food,mid flavors. Mans in the trailer had no idea what he was doing. We ordered (2) 5 pc tender meals,some sides and a fried cheesecake. the man estimated about 30 min on the food so we took our beeper to the car,like everyone else did. we wait,we see him deliver food to other vehicles in the meantime. An hour later he comes knocking saying our orders ready,that he'd been ringing for us. told him it never went off and he responded by saying "that you're too far or using your phone next to it." Then he proceeds to tell me that he gave our cheesecake to the person before us and to wait 5 minutes for another to be done. Go back to the vehicle,wait a bit and head back where he tells me everythings packed and ready to go. Assuming its all good since he had to have checked it twice before giving it to us,we head home only to see he still didnt add the cheesecake to our order. What did he have us wait for? what did he do or what that we waited more than hour and dealt with a rude employee for bland freezer food. The tenders were small, dry, and lacking in any flavor. Thin fries that werent fully cooked and barely had taste. the bread was plain,thin and torn. The best part of the meal was the Sweet baby rays that i used to mask the taste and dryness of the tenders because even the packet bbq sauce they gave us was bland af. Also the strawberry lemonade was once again overpriced,overly sweet and small for the price. It definitely tastes like its rebottled from an off the shelf strawberry lemonade. Please please please save yourself the time and money by avoiding this place and going to Canes,Golden Chick or any other place except here. This place is overpriced,greatly lacking in flavor or originality, and the people dont know what they're doing.

Went to this Halls chicken about 11:58pm last night & got in the drive thru behind 3 cars. We stayed in line for almost 30 minutes. Cars pulled up behind us, & at a certain point u cannot get out of the drive thru line so we had to just wait it out. After I got to the window u could only see one person working & u could tell she was extremely frustrated. After we got the Saturday special, l can tell u that this was the worst smelling, & worst tasting chicken I have ever had. I used to be a restaurant manager so i know food, & this chicken smelled burnt from the word go. I tasted a piece & it tasted like it was fried in the most burnt oil know to man. At this Halls its always hit or miss on the chicken anyway, but I have never had chicken this bad in my entire life, anywhere in the world. We threw the 5 piece basket away & went & got wings from 7-11. I had never eaten food from 7-11 before, but it tasted like 5 star cuisine compared to this Halls chicken on Buckner in Dallas. Calling all hood chicken lovers! I found an absolute gem when I ran across Pickle & Pepper by Hall’s ( while looking for something to eat for lunch one day). I was a little nervous when I pulled up and saw that it was a food truck, because I was used to Hall’s being in an actual building. Boy was I wrong to feel that way.

I ordered a Lemon Pepper Wing basket . The chicken was VERY WELL SEASONED and PACKED with flavor. I loved the spicy pickled carrots in the basket too. The fries were the cherry on top. My only complaint was that I wish the fries were a little thicker cut. The shoestring fries get hard fast. Personal preference. No complaints as far as the taste though.

I wish that I lived closer to Pickle & Pepper by Hall’s because I would be a regular customer . I’m not kidding. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good this chicken was.
