Very bad experience with Popeyes Chicken The following is a summary of the incident:
Due to a recent surgery, I thought we'd order their Cajun Turkey online for pickup.
The website ordering process seemed to not work; it took four attempts on two different credit cards before I got an"Order Received" message. I was then prompted to choose a Pickup window 1) Week of Nov. 11 or 2) Week of Nov. 18. I picked #2. I never received an email confirmation, but thought all was good.
Week #2 came and no contact from Popeyes whatsoever so on Wed. Nov 20 I called the store (Preston Rd store in Dallas, TX) to see if it was ready. It took 6 phone calls throughout the day before someone answered. The man said there were "no more turkeys" When I explained that I had already paid for it on the website, He replied, "I don't know why they do it like that, they are first-come first-serve"! (No apology)
So; not only did Popeyes ruin my family's Thanksgiving meal plans, but they ran $240 on my credit card (all of which was posted to my accounts) and then SOLD our turkey (that I had already paid for) to someone else!! I had to dispute all four charges with my bank.
I used their Online Support form to report the incident and request to speak to an Area Manager or Supervisor. A few days later I received a 4 a.m. email reply from "Shelby". (note: possible offshore customer service) asking what it was about. I explained the incident and repeated that I wanted to speak with someone local in management. The next a.m. another early a.m. reply from "Shelby" explaining to me about how "Pending Charges" work! (No apology) "Shelby" clearly didn't even read where I said they posted to my account and I had to dispute them.
I never did get to speak with a Manager. Beware ordering food on-line at Popeyes. ...
Read moreI am an Uber Eats delivery driver and am very upset with your location on 19304 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75252. I showed up around 11:15PM and waited about 5 minutes at the drive-thru menu board before driving up to the window. There were a few guys I could see in the window and they just motioned with a throat slash that they were closed. I looked at the hours on the sign and it said they were open until 12AM. I went to the door and starting knocking and no one answered. I went to the back door and spoke with a team member that was taking out the trash. He barely spoke English, but told me they were closed. I asked to speak with the manager, telling him there was a whole line of delivery drivers in their drive-thru lane trying to pick up food and they needed to turn off the delivery services if they were going to be closing early. At the very least, put up a sign so we weren't waiting for someone to talk to us. I opened the back door and stood outside holding the door open asking another team member to speak to a manager. The manager finally came and was quite obnoxious, wasnt even addressing any of my concerns, just kept telling me to get out of the doorway so he could shut the door. Then he got his phone out and started recording me - - which prompted me to start giving my name and talking about why I was standing there. He stopped recording and called someone and was telling them I wouldn't leave. Then, he avoided me completely, leaving it up to the two non-English speaking guys to deal with me. Delivery drivers kept driving up and I kept telling them what was going on. I asked the team members if they had a sign they could put out to show they were closed, but I don't think they understood what I was asking. I finally yelled into the restaurant that I would contact the corporate office since I was...
Read moreMy daughter & I have never been to Popeyes & was only going there to buy a gift card. While we were there I asked how their chicken sandwich rated within the chicken sandwich competition? The manager smiled & said Popeyes is the best. I was surprised he was so confident so we order one just to try for ourselves. Please note I don’t get easily impressed, especially over fast food. The sandwich was actually big in size. Everything from the buns to the pickles were fresh & so good. Even the batter surprised me bc it had really good flavor.. not salty like most batter. The size of the chicken filled the whole bun & there were plenty of pickles it seemed like there was a pickle in every bite. I was shocked how good it was! But not all locations are the same. My daughter liked it so much she went to another location & it was a complete disappointment. The sandwich was soggy & old. We went back to this location right before they were closing & was wondering if it would still be just as good especially since it was 20 mins from closing. I was thinking we might get old sandwiches but to our surprise.. it was just as fresh, hot & delicious!! This is our favorite location now! The staff is very nice & the food is pretty amazing for fast food. We actually got to meet the manager as well who was super helpful & very nice. If you are near Preston RD & I90 I recommend swinging by. You won’t be...
