Rayo's Taqueria — Restaurant in Dallas

We ordered at 10am, told it was a 20 minute wait. Show up at 10:25 and it's another 25 minute wait. Seems some of the staff didn't show up to work and the orders were getting badly mixed up and lost in prep. Painful, but they kept trying to work on it. Which I was ready to just get a refund because it was early and very hungry out that morning. I had two menudos and one order of tacos de birria, $42. Normally I'd say that's high but well, I'm sure you're aware of the situation with that.

But it smelled good in there and that gave me hope 😂 I started with the menudo. Quality meat, well-washed, and overall delicious. I personally like a little bit more of an intense taste in the broth, spicy hot even, if possible, but this was easy an 8-9 on my scale of good. That's near impossible to find in the Garland area. The real star were the birria tacos. I see why people rave about them in the comments. Those absolutely steal the show. The order has 4 tacos and you get two salsas but they were pretty tame, almost like ketchup.

I'd recommend both dishes. I'll update when I try the pozole and some other goodies on the menu. The owner did apologize for the wait but it wasn't really her fault. Food speaks for itself and this one doesn't have to apologize...

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received at your establishment. The son working at the counter was utterly unprofessional and rude, reflecting poorly on your business. Despite placing a substantial order of $50 and explicitly clarifying our requirements with him prior to preparation, our order was incorrect and incomplete upon arrival. When I brought this to his attention, he became argumentative and dismissive, claiming that your establishment was unable to accommodate our requests. Furthermore, he showed blatant disrespect towards customers. Upon requesting to speak with a manager, I was informed that none was available. Delicious breakfast. Finally found my new spot for incredible breakfast tacos after moving too far from my previous spot to this area over a year ago. And I have been regularly searching for a place that I can compare to my old digs. Unsuccessfully-until now!! Deliciousness at a normal price! I understand that places have had to raise prices recently, but I feel that a lot of other places have gone way higher than necessary. Not this place. Reasonably priced but the quality was incredible. My boyfriend and I just walked in and were helped right away. Wasn’t a long wait for them to prepare our breakfast and we took it to go.
