Summary: Hidden gem alert. Great food, cheap drinks, live music, secret EDM tequila cave in the back. Only real enemy is the parking lot-basically a game of Tetris on expert mode. In Detail: I almost don’t want to review this place because I fear the secret will get out and suddenly I’ll be waiting 40 minutes for a seat behind someone named Skyler who just discovered the concept of bar seating. But alas, duty calls. Tucked in the Design District between a UPS store and a restaurant that probably charges $17 for chips & salsa, this place is a beautiful contradiction. It’s a sports bar… but make it fashion. Like, it’s clean. And they actually care if you’re enjoying yourself. Wild, I know. Plot twist: it moonlights as a mini music festival. Live Spanish rock cover bands? Check. DJ nights? Check. Secret EDM/tequila speakeasy hidden in the back like you’re in a Mission: Impossible scene? Double check. (It’s only open weekends, though..so plan your nights.) Now let’s talk food. The specials are actually special. Not in the “Happy Hour where your beer is 25 cents cheaper” kind of way. We’re talking: • Taco Tuesdays: Dollar tacos that don’t taste like sadness. • Thirsty Thursdays: A burger, fries, and a beer for ten bucks. That’s right. A full meal for the price of a medium latte and emotional damage at Starbucks. Only downside: the parking lot. It’s shaped like someone took a normal lot, squinted, and then tried to draw it blindfolded. If street parking is full, bring your tiniest car… or a sense of adventure. All that said, if you want a place to catch the game, chat with people who aren’t aggressively networking, and maybe discover your new favorite bar, this is your spot.

Visiting from NC and we enjoyed this place tremendously! Such a vibe and the decor was very pretty and made the ambiance even better. It was not as packed as we expected it to be and we were able to find a table closer to the back of the place. They did have a dance floor towards the entrance but it was a bit small though. So there was a bunch of bumping into different people. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. Our waitress did take a while with our drinks but ehhh, it can happen so we didn't complain. We went on a friday around 11pm and I believe it was tropical night? They played a bunch of salsa, Merengue and Bachata with a few Reggaeton songs here and there. Drinks were great. Ordered the Watermelon Paloma and it was super strong and tasted delicious! We also ordered a few glasses of Brut (Prosecco) and def hit the spot also. Before we left we got complementary watermelon shots, OMG they were sooooooo good! Definitely dangerous though so be careful if you order those. They can definitely sneak up on you. They do serve food but we did not order any so cant comment on that. Towards the end we saw that they offer hookah and were bummed because we would've enjoyed that if we would've known when we first arrived. The bathrooms were gross though. Floor was wet , tissue paper all on the floor and trash was overflowing. Other than that we enjoyed our time here and will be back if we are ever in the area.

I recently visited Taboo Lounge and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The ambiance was lively and energetic, perfect for enjoying a game or hanging out with friends. But what truly blew me away was the food, especially the Agua Chiles! The Agua Chiles were simply divine - fresh, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left me craving for more. Paired with a cold drink from their extensive selection, it was the perfect combination for a memorable evening. The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure our experience was nothing short of amazing. Overall, I highly recommend Taboo Lounge to anyone looking for great food, a lively atmosphere, and friendly service. I'll definitely be returning for more Agua Chiles and good times!

I found this place a few weeks back and it is a hidden gem. The happy hour and daily specials for food are a great deal. Taco Tuesday is the best deal in the entire metroplex. I have always been frugal with money so I like to find places that offer good deals, have a great atmosphere, and staff.

I am a business owner too with employees and I hyper analyze what employees do while they are working on the job when I am visiting a place of business. I pay close attention to how they treat patrons. All the staff here is very friendly. The place is a latin sports bar with attractive women. Think Ojos Locos but a much smaller venue with a mom and pop feel to it.

Two of the stand out employees in my opinion are first Brian. Each time the women are too busy he chips in and puts in sweat equity by noticing if my drink is low and refilling me and notifies the women to add a drink to my tab. I very rarely see him behind the bar but when I do he is attentive/aware of customers. I think he is a jack of all trades at this place because he seems to act as a bar back but then I think he cooks as well. There is also a guy that works here that is deaf. I do not know his name but he is super welcoming and always greats me and makes me feel very welcome to be there. The mans energy is amazing.

This place has earned my business for sure. I like being a regular here while I am staying in Dallas. Luckily for me when I am staying in Dallas I am only five minutes from their location on...

I was having a great time with my friends tonight until it went left. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was great! The bartender with blonde hair gave us suggestions so we ordered them and we really enjoyed our choices. We literally ate everything on the plate. 3 of the bartenders talked to us but our main bartender had pigtails with 2 braids and I could tell that she didn’t like us that much but I didn’t really care because we just wanted to try a new restaurant. She made our experience bad at the end because she had an issue with separating the bill and I didn’t understand why. She said that she did not know how and I told her that at my restaurant, we use the same system and I know how to do it. I thought it was very ironic that she took me to the page where you can customize the bill and I as in the customer fixed the bill. To add insult to the injury, she walked away in attempt to victimize herself and said “idk why you have so much attitude” when all I wanted a separate check. The nice young lady with blonde hair helped us out and found a manager for us to talk to about the issue which really fixed the situation. I really appreciate her and manager for being amazing, these are the type of people who deserve the love and respect from customers and the brunette girl with the pigtail's and 2 braids needs to be fired because she is not a good representation of the company. I will be back as long as she is...
