Late Saturday night 7/20/2019 around 2300, while laying in bed relaxing, my wife spotted this Cockroach crawling up the dresser by the mini fridge. She went down and talked to the night manager on duty and he said he couldn't do anything, but the hotel manager would be in at 0800. About 20 minutes go by and we get a phone call from the night manager saying that he had spoken to the Hotel manager and he offered us a $30 discount (on a room that was roughly $86 per night) and we were there for 2 nights. We informed him that was UNACCEPTABLE. He called be a little bit later and asked if 1 free night would work. We agreed to that, and were told he would have it adjusted in the morning when he got in. Sunday morning 7/21/2019 around 0930 we went to the front desk to check out, he handed me our bill and I was still being billed for 2 days unlike what I was promised Saturday night. I had to inform the manager that my bill wasn't correct and then out of the blue he remembered that we were supposed to get a free night because of the Cockroach/roaches we saw Saturday night. I have owned several businesses and anytime I've told a customer that I would have something done for them, they've NEVER had to ask me about why I hadn't done what I had told them. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this hotel manager and and how he was trained. Had I not looked at my bill or just checked out on my phone I would have been billed for both nights even though that's not what I was told. The next time we go to Dallas we WON'T BE STAYING...
Read moreWhat a dump! Last week(Wed, Jan 18 ), we had a snowy night in Dallas. My wife works the overnight shift at Baylor, so I took her out there and planned on spending the night in Dallas and taking her home, since she's a new driver who has vision difficulties. I went through Hotwire, as they've always done me good. Well this time they didn't. This place was horrible. The clerk couldn't find where I'd paid Hotwire, and kept pushing to put me in a smoking room. He was argumentative and brusque. When I got into the room, I quickly realized that the lousy heater wasn't worth a damn. I turned it on and waited... four hours later, I was still freezing, and was completely skeeved out by the neighborhood. My fault for going through Hotwire and not just buying a hotel that I could actually pick. Also on me that I didn't get insurance.
I ended up buying another room that was a 4 star in Downtown. I had originally avoided it because I knew I'd have to pay extra for parking. It ended up costing me a total of $30 more than this place (So I was out another $130 on top of the price I paid for this place), but at least I wasn't afraid of being axe-murdered in my sleep.
In the future I'll be sure to never stay somewhere like this again. It was the worst.
One thing: At least the place was somewhat clean. That's the only positive I can...
Read moreDaysInn at Market Center - MAGNIFICENT! This a GREAT night sleep for an affordable price. The hotel is located near pretty much everything important in Dallas, we even walk to the American Airlines Center and it was an awesome walking time. It is also located near Rodeo Goat (this is a must if you like burgers) and all around DaysInn, there are other hotels that, to be honest, if you are just looking for a place to stay among all those options DaysInn at Market Center is your go-to option. Bedrooms were clean, towels and sheets were really nice (believe me, I smell them everytime a enter a new bedroom), bathroom was nice and clean and the bathtub was recently remodeled. Refrigerator and microwave were also clean and are useful if you, e.g., came from Rodeo Goat with a doggy bag (definitely me). George, the Manager, is a really nice person, he is always willing to help and he gave us a pretty nice breakfast every morning, water, some fruit, a big muffin and a cereal bar. A have not even a single complaint on my stay and I would definitely choose this hotel once I return to Dallas. George, if you read me, I was the lady with the pretty dress :) and we would like to thank you, you really made our...
