I so wanted to write a positive review because the rates are very good, and this is my first time in Dallas. The room was clean, there was a full-sized fridge, which was a nice surprise, and they have an outdoor pool, but things started to fall apart after that. Upon checking in, I asked about when the pool was open, and the very nice young lady at the front said 7 AM to 8 PM. However, upon trying to access the pool the next morning, I was told by the morning desk person that it was not open until 9:30. Fair enough. Once she unlocked it, I dove in and was immediately confronted by hordes of dead bugs (and one live grasshopper) floating on the surface. When I asked whether they had a pool skimmer (and that I was happy to skim it myself), she stated that it was locked in a shed that only the maintenance person had a key for, and he was not onsite. Although I can't think of a pool-related emergency that they might need to access the shed for, this still seemed very odd to me. It also meant that the pool was unusable. Very disappointing. I persevered, as the weather was very nice, and sunned on the pool deck for a bit. It would have been great if they had a hot tub, but alas, no such luck. I returned to my room, cleaned up in the Hobbit-sized bathroom (I'm only 6' 2", but the sink counter was barely above my knees, and I had to crouch to look in the mirror) and realized that I had forgotten to bring a wall charger for my phone. A fruitless search of the room for a USB charging port ensued (note to management - this is always a welcome option), until I realized that the TV had a USB port in the back, so problem averted. My particular room only had 3 hangers, which really isn't helpful for a longer stay, so I doubled up and got most of my things sorted. The closet is quite large, and does contain a safe and an ironing board (but no iron). The room also contains a quite small microwave. However, there is no bottled water, and the sink has warm and hot water only. As for toiletries, there is only a tiny bar of soap provided, so make sure you bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are also only two small towels provided, so think Planes, Trains and Automobiles. If you're bringing kids, you're heading to the front desk. Unlike some recent reviewers, I encountered no wildlife (read roaches, bedbugs or the like), and the water pressure and temperature were just fine, hence the third star. Its location seems fine, and it is across the street from a Denny's, so if you are traveling in the area (and you're not a swimmer), this is a very affordable option.

Where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived at the motel, it was a nightmare. The strong smell of weed hit us as soon as we walked in. Once we got to our room, we noticed cigarette burns on the comforter and even on the ice container. The toilet ran all night, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. The shower? Absolutely disgusting—the curtain was ripped and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. We were supposed to stay two nights but ended up leaving after just one because the entire place felt so sketchy. The walls are paper-thin, and there was a random door in our room that seemed to lead directly to the neighboring room—super unsettling. When we asked the front desk about it, the response was, “I just work here.” Helpful, right? It gets worse. The alarm clock in the room didn’t work, so you’ll need to rely on your phone. The guest above us stomped around all night, and at 8 a.m., our room phone started ringing. First, it was someone trying to book a room, then another person asking for the Wi-Fi password. It was beyond creepy. To top it all off, the housekeeping staff burst into our room without knocking while we were inside! This is, without a doubt, the sketchiest motel I’ve ever experienced. Save yourself the trouble and do not stay here!

I didn’t expect much when I booked my stay however, I always expect a clean room and this place fell very short. The a/c didn’t work I finally gave up and just kept the window open. Thankfully I was on the 2nd floor and there was mild weather for the weekend in Dallas. This place was so questionable I considered canceling and requesting a refund. There was dirty finger prints on the bathroom walls (makeup maybe?), a strange oil?? stain on the top sheet of the bed, pink mold in shower, cup ring left on bathroom counter, strange drip marks on the wall by the bed, the hvac until fan rattled and knocked so loud I was really concerned it would fall out of the ceiling, old mascara on a clean bathroom washcloth, and the smell of mildew throughout the room. I was glad I had a pair of flip flops to wear in the shower and walk around the room wearing. Definitely do NOT recommend this place and I will not stay here when I visit again. Again I wasn’t expecting 5star service however, I expected it to be clean.

I didn't have time to check the reviews before booking, but like other guests said, AVOID at all costs! It was simply the worst hotel experience of my life. I made the reservation through Orbitz, and we were assigned a room by the pool. I was woken up by rowdy guests SWIMMING after hours TWICE. The first time at 12:15 AM, it was a family with kids. I called the front desk, 20 min went by and nothing happened. I had to call Orbitz, they called the hotel and only then someone came out to say the pool was closed (neither one of the gates were locked to prevent guests from accessing the pool). The second time I woke up thinking it was 7AM already, because people were swimming and playing MUSIC. I was wrong. It was 2:46AM and it was four adults making all kinds of noise. I told them they surely must know other people were trying to sleep and that the pool was closed and they replied they had NO IDEA the pool was closed. I complained to the front desk via phone, guests left the premise before someone would come out, and then I had to get dressed to go complain at the front desk. The front desk employee had to be the most ALOOF elderly man I've ever seen work such a job. I asked him why the pool wasn't locked so people wouldn't get in (like every other hotel I've been at), and he outlandishly replied he didn't know what was happening, they were almost completely booked (he sounded surprised), the computers were down, people weren't going to their rooms. I had to explain to him that it was a Saturday night in Dallas, and if they didn't keep the pool locked, people would keep getting in. The pool wasn't that far away from the front desk, but apparently he could not hear the absurd amount of noise people were making. I asked for a refund and he said I would have to speak to Mr. Patel in the morning. I went back to my room and after all this it was hard to go back to sleep because the beds are old and uncomfortable and the AC was as loud as a tractor. In the morning, I attempted to talk to Mr. Patel in the presence of the elderly gentleman manning the front desk during the night. Mr. Patel was very rude an unapologetic, and instead of both of them telling me how sorry they were about the inconvenience, they kept saying "it had been handled". Mr. Patel (or at least I assume I was talking to Mr. Patel because no one at this hotel wears uniforms or name tags), seemed unaware of the incident that happened at 3AM, and when I asked for a refund because I hadn't gotten any sleep, he said I would have to come back at 9AM, when "his guy" was going to come in, no title or name given. I was never asked for my name or room number. I complained again to Orbitz, who then called the hotel, and Mr. Patel said that the night shift employee was not there and he would have to ask details even though when I spoke to the front desk at 8AM, BOTH men were present and I talked to both of them. Morale of the story: rude, unprofessional liars work at this facility, and I suggest you stay at one of the nearby hotels. I will also make a formal complaint to Best Western, since I made my reservation counting on the Best...

I would give this place 0 stars. I booked the room through an outside agency. When I booked in, I paid for it, the room was an outside entry, the A/C was not working properly, I immediately called the front desk as soon as I went into the room to report it, they said they would submit a ticket. About an hour went by, I hadn't heard anything so I went to the front desk, he said the maintenance buy was on lunch, they gave me a fan and he came back to my room to show me how to reset the thermostat. He told me that this is what I needed to do to make it cooler. I waiting for 5-6 hours, I had plans to leave around 6:30, the maintenance guy never came to my room...I left, came back a little after midnight, the room was hotter than it was before. I called the front desk again, the guy told me at that point to pack up my room and he would move me somewhere else. Now I am in the building which smelled like a weed factory...this was supposed to be a non-smoking establishment. I was now on the 3rd floor, I went down and complained about the smell and all he cared about was keeping me hydrated and offered me a ton of water. I was tired at this point and just gave up. My new room was cool and that's all i cared about. The next day, I was out of the room all day, got back around10ish...still reeked of weed. I met my friends who were also staying at the hotel down at the pool...one of the other guests had asked my friend if he had any crack...really, I am not making this up. We retired for the evening. I checked out around 6am the next day, while i was checking out, I complained again about the smell, and asked for some type of compensation for Friday, he told me that he was "locked" out of the system since I had already prepaid that I would have to talk to the manager, but he was eager to still offer me that bottle of water...even one of the bottles had been opened and drank out of...wow! He supposedly gave my information to. I called later that day, talked to another desk clerk...he said the same thing, the manager was out, i left messages upon messages...still not a word. So I contacted the establishment that I originally booked the hotel with, they contacted the hotel, they told them they had no record of me filing any complaints on my A/C....they couldn't help me. So I called again today, the guy I talked to said the same thing to me, there was no documentation about my a/c complaints, I asked what was the reason they had written down for them moving me, he said there wasn't one. He kept telling me that I should have complained about the pot and the room, I had to repeat my story 3 times to him. He said that he would pass the information to his manager...said the manager only shows up 1x a day for 2 hours and then leaves. I would not reccomend this property to my...
