I pride myself on finding incredible places to eat, drink, and experience genuine hospitality when I travel—and Texican by Abel Gonzalez is one of those special finds. I took a day trip to Dallas to visit a friend, and after landing, I was starving. A quick search led me to Texican, and the photos alone convinced me to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. When we walked in, there were a few guests enjoying breakfast in a quaint, cozy dining area—beautiful, but unfussy. We headed to the back to check out the menu, and the guy at the counter was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. His enthusiasm about the food made us even more excited to order. We went with two brisket, bacon, and egg tacos and a vegetable and bean taco. Every bite was amazing. The brisket was smoky and tender, the eggs were cooked just right, and everything was packed with flavor. But the surprise standout? The chips and salsa. Freshly made in-house, the chips were fried to absolute perfection, and the salsa was vibrant and full of depth. The customer service was fantastic, and the owner was present and generous with his time, happily sharing the story of the restaurant. Texican has been open for about five years, and it’s clear it’s something special. I already know what I’m ordering next time—the brisket breakfast plate I spotted at the table across from us looked incredible. If you’re in Dallas, don’t miss this spot. Texican by Abel Gonzalez is a true gem worth discovering.

Been trying to go here for sometime, that time has finally came! Cocina Italiano was absolutely the best Italian food I have ever had. Location is small, but cozy and decor is nice. Now to the food I had bow tie with rose sauce and chicken. The sauce was so good and all of my pasta was covered with it. The house salad is a great set up for the main course. My wife ordered the pizza, The Abel, and this pizza was hot and tasted so good. With all this said we left full, we plan to visit again real soon...

This cozy place was perfect for me and my daughter to dine. The wonderful dishes you see are a delicious and was perfect. This is the Best Italian cuisine on Dallas! Wonderful spices and seasonings on the Cajun Alfredo Pasta. The Banna pudding was smooth and cool perfect for a hot summer day. A incredible restaurant to come and visit, service was on point and the food will never disappoint! Coming back to entertain my pattlet again!

The atmosphere was super uncomfortable and the service was one of the worst I've ever had in the 29 years of my life. The cashier was very rude, disrespectful, immature, especially for a middle-aged guy, and came across as racist. And I'm not one to throw that word around unless it's the real deal. He seems like the type that stereotypes an entire group of people and tries to fit them into a small box. I’m the kind of person who’s genuinely kind to everyone I talk to, so his behavior really caught me off guard. The food was very bland, and lacked flavor and love. I won’t be coming back. My friend definitely needs to recommend better...

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø A Must-Try for Catering!

Texican by Abel Gonzales exceeded all expectations for our event! We ordered traditional tamales, rice, beans, chili, and salsa—and everything was absolutely delicious. I’ve never been much of a tamale person, but Abel’s tamales completely changed my mind. They were flavorful, perfectly textured, and a hit with everyone at the party.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the food was. Delivery was punctual and professional, making the whole experience stress-free. I’ll definitely be using Texican for future catering needs. Highly...
