My wife purchased a cake last week from The Mixing Bowl for our daughters birthday. As it turned out, the cake appeared to be atleast 4-5 days old because it was not fresh, quite dried out & simply bad.
I was dissapointed because we've purchased from them for years now, & this was highly unlike them.
My wife placed an order for another cake with them for this weekend, but after I was made aware that my wife placed that order here, I called to cancel the order.
I spoke with a lady there this afternoon and explained the situation, never did she apologize for the cruddy cake, but became a bit defensive & ultimately hung up!
So much for "The Mixing Bowl". Our cakes purchased from them in the past range from $60 to $160.... no more here.
I try to support local business, but I will now move my future cake...

I called back cause I started to get itchy and I was having an allergic reaction to the food I was eating. I called and asked the man if the tortilla was cooked with lard and the man over he phone said they cook their egg in lard. I just wish theyâd have a sign or something saying they cook with lard. đ...
