The absolute best pizza and wings around, hands down!! They can be a little expensive but I’d spend more money for good quality food!! The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is always clean and the food is AWESOME!! They also offer free beer and drinks with your purchase! I love this place!!
UPDATE! I visited this location on last night, 12/27/2021 and was very dissatisfied with the services. I purchased a pizza, salad and 10 pc wings. No one was in side while we placed the order. I made my purchase and another customer walked up and placed an order. Remind you, I made my purchase first. The cashier brought the pizza out and told me the wings would be out shortly. We had the pizza waiting at the table while waiting for the remainder of our order. We finally asked about the salad and he brought it out. After waiting at the table for 45 minutes on wings, I was approached by the cashier with 2 options. He explained he didn't know where the miss up came and he could either void my wings or give me a credit for wings on my next visit. I asked why couldn't I get the wings at the moment and that my pizza had gotten cold because we wanted to enjoy our wings with the pizza. He told me it would be 5 minutes. 5 minutes passed and still no wings. After over an hour of waiting for wings, my pizza was cold, so I was forced to enjoy hot wings and cold pizza. The couple that PLACED AN ORDER after I made my purchase, had already gotten their pizza and 20 pc wings, eaten and left by the time my wings had come out. The cook was out in the lobby entertaining a guy. She invited the guy to come in the back to make his own pizza and she even offered to give him a free pizza, but me as a paying customer was forced to eat my paid pizza cold because she looked over my 10pc wing order. Very dissatisfied and I visit this establishment too often for the service I received...
Read moreI usually pass on most new pizza places around here because they are seldom worth even a single try. But somehow this little dive-ish place caught my eye (maybe it was the hippyish signage?), so rather than ignore it, I decided to give it a google search, and was surprised to see the high user rating, so, added it to my short "try list".
True to the ratings, the pizza was in fact very good - a lot better than expected. The owner uses top quality mozzarella, and home made sauce. The only "issue" to me, a native NY'er, is, and the owner very openly acknowledges this and even volunteers it, is that the crust isn't quite NY crust (presumably due tot he type of pizza oven used, according tot he owner). He does make it appropriately thin, as it should be, but the oven seems to cook it different than authentic NY style.
Stull, the ingredients were surprisingly solid, bringing my rating to "very good". But on top of that, the owner is an amazingly friendly and creative guy, and really loves pizza and his Italian heritage (something you don't often encounter). As an example of his characteristics, they offer free ice cold draft beer while you're there - be it if you eat in, or even just awaiting your pizza ! Yes, I said FREE ! Not sure how long that will last, and ironically, I'm not a beer drinker, yet still, just the fact he is doing this, with no strings attached, exemplifies how cool a guy, and place this is. ...so in a very rare happening, I am actually bumping my pure food rating up a notch from "very good to "Excellent". (Really, if they had 1/2 stars, it should be a 4.5, but in this case, more appropriate to bump up than...
Read moreI was in a the area and found this pizza shop. I saw a large pepperoni pizza listed for $15. I noticed a bunch of fees added to the online order—so I thought, I’ll just call it in and avoid the fees since I was literally in my car down the street. Right before checking out, the guy tells me my order—a large one-topping pizza, 10 wings, and a 1-liter soda—was $52.97. I about fell out. I didn’t want to back out since I had already ordered, but I was stunned (and appalled). Online, the pizza was $15. In the store? $24.99. When I mentioned the price difference, he casually said the online prices were messed up. If I had paid online, I would’ve gotten the lower price—but he wouldn’t honor it. Then I saw a sign saying if you spend over $40, you get free breadsticks. I asked if they were included—he said no, but he’d make them if I wanted to wait another 20 minutes. Nope. I was already over this experience. To top it all off, the Teriyaki wings were drowning in sauce. Like, way too much. It was messy as hell—sticky, dripping, hard to eat, and completely overwhelming. Just a sloppy, over-sauced mess. And the final insult? As I’m walking out, I see Pizza Hut literally right next door. I could’ve gone there for good pizza with cheese pulls AND a deal. I keep thinking. I should have gone there. The pizza itself? Meh. It was fine. No cheese pulls like some of the reviews hyped up. It was okay—but nowhere near worth $53. Only thing I liked was the cool art on the shop walls. That’s it. I live 50 min away so I will not be going back so they need not respond asking me to give them...
