Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Though some of the prices are a little higher than a lot of Tex-Mex places, there are plenty of dishes under $15 - the Treviño combo ($15) includes a large crunchy taco, a guacamole tostada, a cheese enchilada covered in chili, a cheese soft taco with cheese sauce, and beans and rice. I'm a big guy and it filled me up. We also ordered two appetizers and got a half order of each, and I'm glad we didn't spring for the full size as the four bombers (chicken filled fried jalapenos) and 8 fajita nachos would have either one been an adequate appetizer for a party of two - the bombers are big and the fajita nachos had a lot of meat on every chip. Though the steaks are a little higher than some places ($31 for the 8oz cut, $41 for the 18oz bone-in ribeye) they are good quality, thick, and they know how to cook a rare steak. My daughter ordered the big steak "Texas Style" (with potato and mixed vegetables) the first time we came, the 8oz filet "Mexico Style" (with enchilada, chili sauce, rice, beans, and pico de Gallo) the second time and both are excellent. Want to give a shout-out to our server Darrell. Not only was he friendly and attentive, he asked all the right questions during our service, like if we wanted our appetizers early or closer to our entrees. When we come back (and we will), I hope we're in his section again.

Historic longevity. It was 1971 in the Old Town center that I discovered Mariano’s Mexican restaurant. That was the year the owner, Mariano Martinez, invented the world’s first frozen margarita machine. Instantly, it became the “go to “ restaurant in Dallas. Today the greatest continues. The addition of wood fired grilled steaks with all the traditional Mexican dishes is unique. The smell of the grilling steaks and food coupled with the ranch decor is incredible. Tylar Smith is the manager and his decades of experience here makes your dining experience memorable. The menu is so broad it makes you want to sample it ALL. The enchiladas with rice, beans, and a taco was a great choice. The chips and two salsas were good. Seeing the servers delivering steaming fajitas and other plates to adjoining tables planted the “ I want that “ feeling. The food , atmosphere, and service deserve your patronage. Make it sooner than later. See you there!

Looking for lunch on a Saturday. We were Seated immediately. Greeted with smiles. Becca was our server and did a phenomenal job. The food came out accurate. Queso appetizer was a solid choice. Mini tacos for the girls. The rice and beans were very tasty. The tacos order the wife and I split were more than plentiful! Drinks were on full as were the chips and spicy yummy salsa. We definitely WILL return when in the area. I usually tip well... And I definitely liked everything and appreciated everything... Hence the %30 tip. Staff should be commended for jobs well done. Respectfully, Bryan Oklahoma City

Truly an amazing experience—from the hostess to the waitstaff to the food to the ambiance. Great Tex-Mex with large portions and cowboy-themed, attentive service at moderate prices (though some on the higher end). Will absolutely return!

THE GOOD • Ordered Cobb Salad with grilled chicken and house-made ranch on the side. You know when you order a salad but half-expect it to not be filling and to be disappointing? Not this salad. It was actually THE bomb diggity. Greens were fresh and crunchy, avocado was fresh (and SO MUCH of it!), carrots/olives added crunch, and the cheese was lovely. Bacon bits were delicious, though we opted for those on the side. The house-made ranch is truly special—really creamy and flavorful...though it was probably a good idea to get it on the side and add as necessary. And the portion size? Huge. I shared with a family member and had trouble finishing the salad. • Also ordered Tex Mex tacos—three large and generously-stuffed tacos, your choice of soft/hard shell, ground beef/chicken. Ordered three soft tacos with both beef and chicken. The tacos were SPECTACULAR—ground beef was juicy and flavorful with a not-so-subtle hint of spice. Tacos were stuffed full with lettuce, cheese blend, and tomatoes—wonderful. And the soft tortilla was fluffy and airy. Mexican rice was moist (unlike the dry rice you find at other establishments) and refried beans were full of flavor. Food was served very hot. • Service was a highlight. Greeted at the door by a hostess in a cowboy hat, we were promptly shown to a table. Decor and ambiance are homey and lively—and the candles on each table are a nice touch. Our waiter, Jazz, was incredibly attentive, kind, and patient, checking on our table multiple times throughout the night. Chips and salsa were replenished/replaced before we even noticed we were low. Altogether excellent and genuinely enthusiastic service.

THE NOT-SO-GOOD • While many dishes are affordable (3 Tex-Mex Tacos + 2 sides was only $11), other menu options—the fajitas, for instance—are quite pricey. But judging from the quality of the food we received, I’m quite sure it’s well worth the price. Expect in the $11-$18 range for most dishes, but nothing is over-the-top. You pay for what you get, and at La Hacienda Ranch, what you get is well worth it. • Other than that, honestly there are zero cons. Was a wonderful...

We visited La Hacienda Ranch (on Preston) for a "post-workout" lunch after finishing exercising at Precision Fitness (Preston). We ordered their Mesquite Grilled Fajitas and the experience began even before the first bite, with the tantalizing aroma of the mesquite-grilled meats (chicken and steak) drawing us in, promising a truly memorable feast for two exhausted and famished athletes.

The choice between flour or corn tortillas ensured both of our tastes were catered to, while the accompanying guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and pico are nothing short of perfection - fresh, flavorful, and meticulously crafted. The rice complemented the ensemble beautifully, and the choice between black beans, pinto beans, or the Ranchero bean soup ensured a delightful experience tailored just to both of our likings.

The pristine conditions of their bathrooms was also worth mentioning as it showcase the establishment's commitment to hygiene and comfort. Such details, often overlooked, add to the overall excellence and total comfort of our dining experience.

Every server we interacted with was the epitome of professionalism. Their knowledge, attentiveness, and genuine passion for ensuring a flawless dining experience was evident throughout our visit. The customer service here is truly top-notch, and YOU get the sense of being a "valued guest" rather than just another "customer or patron."

La Hacienda Ranch delivered an immersive dining experience that left an indelible mark for our "post-workout" culinary journey. Their Mesquite Grilled Fajitas were a testament to the mastery of flavors, while the impeccable service and spotless amenities spoke volumes about their dedication to excellence. It is too bad this establishment is not open on Monday (International Chest Day for many gym goers), but I still highly recommended La Hacienda Ranch (on Preston) for anyone seeking a "power-up" meal that's both delectable...

We have been eating at this Hacienda Ranch location for over 15yrs. It has had the best/top notch Chicken/Steak Fajitas by far and above any of the Tex/Mex rests. on a consistent basis. Eaten as a family of six (6) and had over ten (10) large party dinner gatherings because of it's consistent juicy beef and chicken fajitas over the years. We also frequented the previous location in Carrollton,Tx throughout the yrs as this was only a few miles from our home base. The Carrollton location was never anywhere close to the quality of preparation/presentation/consistency. Although the Carrollton location was frequently visited we would always go to the Preston Road location at the Preston Trail Plaza due to it's superior/consistent food. Never once were we anything other than ecstatic over the food at this Preston Rd. location until the other night Wedn. 04/16/25, we had one of our semi-large family gathering and the food prep couldn't have been more disappointing. We understand that there's going to be an off night with any restaurant but with the quantity of beef/chicken fajitas ordered, six (6) it was a real let down. We always specify the beef to be prepared rare to medium rare as it always cooks a bit more sitting in the hot plate. The beef was chewy and tough/the chicken couldn't be any dryer and the onions provided weren't enough for (3) let alone (6). We didn't complain as there were (5) other guests that ordered a variety of plates but after a few discussions with them the past week their plates were a disappointment as well. The only reason we're making a big issue of this is we have been so very pleased with this particular restaurant and in hopes management will see these comments and makes a conservative effort to review and take any necessary measures to uphold the high standards they have so diligently maintained the past...
