Trailercakes Cupcakes & Catering — Restaurant in Dallas

Terrible! I bought four cupcakes for me and a friend, neither one of us finished them. We literally picked at them, took a couple of bites and then threw them away. On top of that, the atmosphere of the bakery is awful. The place is dim and looks very unkept. The cupcakes in the glass/display looked like my 6 year old niece made them, they didn’t look professional at all. They also looked like they were old and dry. I decided to give them a try anyway simply because I didn’t want to be rude and walk out which, I should have especially after the employee went to what looked like, a mini refrigerator, to get the cupcakes. As for the taste, they were very dense or heavy, not moist and fluffy. The chocolate icing tasted like it was mixed with Coco Puffs (seriously). I was so annoyed. I wasted almost $20, which is expensive for cupcakes especially compared to the likes of...

Trailercakes is not near anything I ever go to, yet I find myself stopping by for cupcakes several times a year! Whenever I take my kids (my son especially) downtown for any reason, we find ourselves making a beeline for Trailercakes before we head home.

Happy Days (white cake, white frosting, THOUSANDS of sprinkles!) is my son's favorite. My daughter and I are always order the Slap-Your-Mother Chocolate cupcake, because how can you not order a chocolate cupcake that comes with an additional chocolate bar? Seriously. The cashier suggested that next time I order the Oh My Ganache, so we will definitely have to head back soon! It looked delicious.

The frosting is what makes this place amazing. I've never found another cupcake (or regular cake) shop that is...

Not coming back.

This is the 1st time and last time I come to the new location. The place looked unkept and it’s inside another bakery. Did not had the flavors we wanted and it was 3 hrs before closing. They had only been open for 3 hours so how are cupcakes sold out. They are trying to save money by not making enough but if it’s a cupcake store... they should have what they advertise.

The cupcakes we did end up taking do not look like the ones we would get at the Knox location. I don’t get why they decided to move to the dingy place. Sad to say but I am not making the 30 min drive for these cupcakes. Sprinkles it is for us from now on and will no longer ve recommending them.
