Never again coming to this location! I was too annoyed to even go back for a refund! I normally don't leave bad reviews for fast food places. It's one of those, you get what you pay for things. However, this Wendy's takes longer than dine in restaurants! It took 25 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches! On top of that, the customization I made wasn't done. This location is just a block away from my clinic, so I gave them not one but 3 chances! However, each time, it still took 15-25 minutes! I would be more understanding if they were understaffed and packed with customers. The first time took almost 15 minutes with only 3 cars. The second time took almost 18 minutes with only 1 other car at the window. When a woman finally brought out my food, I asked why it took so long for just 2 chicken sandwiches. I even ordered ahead. She replied that it is made fresh, and they wait until the customer arrives. That was still far too long only to arrive home and see my order wasn't correct! This last time took an entire 25 minutes! I ordered 2 exact same sandwiches that most definitely did not taste worth the wait. Nor had extra pickles as requested. There was only 1 customer inside, and 3 others in drive thru. I let them know I was there for my mobile order and wanted to place a separate order. I was cut off, and she didn't even hear me trying to order. I waited about 5 minutes, but she didn't return to the speaker. I went ahead and pulled forward. At that point, I wanted to get the food I paid for and never return! I saw at least 5 employees there. Ethan was nice enough to come out to let me know they're working on my order, and it will be right out. When he finally brought out my food, he apologized for the wait. He said he did remind them I was waiting. I appreciate Ethan's attempt to manage the situation. This is the only Wendy's I've had poor service and extremely long wait times. I went to a different Wendy's for my second order. I placed it on the app. Wouldn't you know I pulled up and had my food handed to me within 45 seconds! Wow, this other Wendy's put the fast back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn a lapse of self restraint because I wanted to try the Salted Caramel Frosty, I ordered one along with some saucy nugs through the Wendy's app for pickup from the drive through to take back to work. I waited an unreasonable length of time (considering my short lunch period and that I'd ordered on the app around ten minutes before arriving) as they had me pull aside to a parking space while they prepared the meal. After delivering my order to the car, I found no cutlery, no napkins, and neither a straw nor spoon for the frosty. I guess I'm supposed to lick the frosty out of the cup, eat the saucy nugs with my bare hands, and wipe my saucy fingers on my pants? Anyway--first world problems. I pulled back through the drive through to get these service items and had to wait again behind other cars ordering and receiving their drive through meals only to then hit a language barrier with the two employees at the drive through window. I'm not a Jingoist, and I appreciated the contributions of those two employees preparing my meal, though I was annoyed by the entirety of the situation. Where had the cashier who was at the window and asked, in perfect English, for me to pull aside to wait minutes before gone? What ensued was a ridiculous game of charades before I thought to just use Google Translate...and what could possibly go wrong?! While I asked for and receive a "tenedor" and "cuchara", "paja" was initially problematic and the request was only fully understood by what must have appeared to be obscene gestures. Likewise, I only fully understood the bereftness of my linguistic ability when recounting this experience to a Spanish-speaking friend that paja, while literally meaning "straw," has a very different (and obscene) slang meaning. Thanks for the language lessons, Wendy's! Next time, please include service items, especially napkins and straws, without needing to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's located on Harry Hines, which is convenient, but the lot gets dirty. The service is horrible. They act like coming to work is a chore, and they're doing you a favor by being there. Some don't speak English and just give you that smile and nod, then turn to someone else to help you. The food is NEVER fresh. You specifically have to ask that they make it fresh and check it before you go!!
I work at the hospital right across from the Wendy's located at 5502 Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas, TX. and I have gone to this location for two weeks straight between 5:30 am-5:45 am. Each morn I have waited at the order speaker for over 10 minuets with no service due to your staff not being on time. The young lady that drives the Honda Civic with the paper tags came to the window and advised they were running late so no food was ready. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed soon. I know your store would and could start earning money for the early morning rush that comes that way if the store would open on time. I have had several co-workers complain about the same issue as well. Since we have to be to work by 6:00 am the 5:30 opening was ideal, and the location is convenient. Instead, we have ALL started going to Jack in the Box since they are able to serve us and satisfy our needs. I actually enjoy your food WHEN they are open. The young Hispanic girl who drives that car was late again this morning and I didnāt get there until 5:40; she sat in her car until 5:45. I waited until 5:50 and she never went to the speaker. The shift manager has been there each morning and never seems to address this issue. Can you please either fix the issue by getting staff that can and will be on time or change your hours to honest times like 6:30 am...
