My recent visit to Maple Landing was an unforgettable culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with joy. From start to finish, every dish was a masterpiece that showcased the chef's expertise and dedication to crafting exceptional flavors.
Let's talk about the star of the show - the chili cheese fries. Oh my goodness, these were not your ordinary fries! They put chunks of brisket in the chili! There were an explosion of flavors, with the perfect balance of gooey cheese, zesty chili, and the crunchiest fries I've ever had. Each bite was a tantalizing combination of textures and tastes that left me wanting more even after I had devoured the entire plate.
And then came the banana bourbon bread pudding. It was as if the dessert gods themselves had concocted this delectable creation. The warmth of the bread pudding, infused with the rich notes of bourbon, paired harmoniously with the sweetness of the bananas. It was a sweet symphony that played on my taste buds and left me in pure dessert bliss.
Of course, the meal wouldn't be complete without mentioning the brisket and sausage plate. The tender, succulent brisket practically melted in my mouth, and the sausage was bursting with smoky flavors that had me savoring every bite. The plate was a true testament to Maple Landing's commitment to quality and authenticity, and it left me with a newfound appreciation for barbecue done right.
The ambiance of the restaurant was equally enchanting, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the dining experience that elevated it to a whole new level.
In conclusion, my time at Maple Landing was a delightful journey through a symphony of flavors and culinary artistry. The chili cheese fries, banana bourbon bread pudding, and brisket and sausage plate are undoubtedly the stars of the show, but the entire experience was a masterpiece in its own right. I can't wait to return and indulge in the culinary wonders that Maple Landing has to...
Read moreAfter a long week of work, a few coworkers and I decided to unwind and reconnect over some expertly crafted cocktails and tantalizing appetizers. We arrived at our destination a bit early, eager to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some quality time together before Happy Hour officially kicked off at 4 p.m.
To start our culinary adventure, we ordered a colorful array of appetizers that promised to please the palate: crispy chips and queso, zesty wings, pepperoni pizza topped with spicy jalapeños, rich bourbon pecan bread pudding, and a refreshing lemon blueberry brulee. Here's a more detailed look at what we indulged in:
Wings: B- The wings were impressively tender, coated in a flavorful smokiness that hinted at a perfect slow cook. However, despite their great taste, the wings verged on the dry side, which detracted from the overall enjoyment.
Queso: C- The queso arrived alongside two types of crunchy chips: light and airy fried potato chips complemented by sturdy tortilla chips. While the potato chips were a delight, perfectly salted and crisp, the queso itself fell short of expectations. Its thicker, somewhat gritty texture suggested that the quality of the cheese could definitely use a boost.
For dessert, both options we sampled proved to be enjoyable, but the bourbon pecan bread pudding truly shone. Each piece of soft, pillowy bread soaked up the rich caramel and bourbon, with a dusting of powdered sugar adding just the right touch of sweetness. The toasted sugar pecans provided a wonderful crunch that made this dessert an absolute delight with every mouthful.
I opted out of trying the pizza, as I'm not fond of jalapeños, but I appreciated the creative variety on the menu. Overall, ML offers a laid-back ambiance ideal for gathering with friends, enjoying a romantic date, or simply relishing some time to oneself. It's undoubtedly a gem...
Read moreGotta say...either we had a bad experience, or the reviews for this place are inflated....because the experience was simply meh.
Came in, and were seated and greeted promptly, but got nothing out of our server in the way of recommendations or menu help, even after mentioning it was our first time....no "Hey, we're happy to have you in", or anything of the sort.
Grabbed a Strawberry Basil Cider which was good, and then ordered appetizer of Social Pie's Mediterranean Rolls, their "The White" Pizza, and an order of Brisket Poutine, with the Lemon Creme Brulee for dessert.
All food wound up coming out at the same time, and there was no way to raise concern about it because our server bailed until the food came out. She did poke her head in to check on us, but it was "Hi. Ok? Cool. Bye.", until it was time for the check.
Food looked appetizing, but tasted like it'd been in a non-heated pass window for a couple minutes because it was all only warm...not hot/fresh.
The poutine was not cheese curds, but melted cheese...and the fries were mush. Flavor was fine, brisket itself was good, but overall only "OK".
The Mediterranean rolls were basically a veggie calzone, sliced into strips. They were good, but overloaded with Kamalata olives, and very little of the other veggies, making them hyper-salty.
The White pizza was tasty, but not impressive.
The Lemon Creme Brulee was plain out bad. Lemon custard was weak and not flavorful, and the brulee layer was paper thin, so there was no "crack" to the brulee at all.
All in all, for 77$ after tip, I wish we wouldn't have gone, as the experience was basically an Applebee's equivalent for double the price.
We will not be back, and will not be recommending it to anyone we know.
