STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. My child ordered a kids meal with chicken tenders... and got a half eaten one. Bite marks evident. Fortunately we were still in the parking lot. I went inside to complain and request fresh tenders and the cookie that they didn't give us.
The manager (skinny older white man) didn't apologize or empathize even slightly. Didn't say he would talk to the kitchen staff about it. Nothing. He refused to take the chicken tender and ordered me to throw it away while he watched.
He rudely told me to keep my voice down so as not to let the other customers know that his staff put a BITTEN chicken tender in my child's meal.
I told him I wouldn't have complained about my sandwich having extra chopped onions when I had requested no onions. I wouldn't have complained about the cold fries. I didn't even mention the nasty cup of water that they gave me. But we did need to have fresh chicken tenders that had not been tempered with, along with the cookie that my child didn't get.
He made me go outside to get my sandwich even though I told him I didn't need a replacement. When I told him I didn't need it, he told me that they had already put a fresh one on the grill. Power trip, much? Fine. So I walked outside to my vehicle to get the sandwich to bring it inside and again showed it to him but he refused to touch it just like he refused to touch the chicken tender. So I threw it away in front of him.
As a paying customer, why do I have to follow the orders of a megalomaniac manager? I don't work there. All I wanted was food that had not been tampered with so that I could feed safe food to my child. If I had been thinking clearly I would have asked for a refund of everything since nothing was right... but as a mother, I freaked out over the bite marks. How smart of him to order me to throw it in the trash. He didn't even want to touch it himself. But with me throwing it in the trash that got rid of the evidence.
Not once did the manager apologize or indicate that he had any kind of sympathy for such a situation. He did not indicate that he would reprimand or even discuss this with his employees. He was, however, extremely rude and discourteous.
Then the manager wasn't even the one that gave me my food. He had somebody in the back bring me my food. I decided that I was going to be the light and be courteous despite the whole ordeal. The employee just handed me the bag. I said thank you. No you're welcome. No thank you for coming to whataburger. No thank you for your patience. No have a good evening. Nothing. Just sullenly passing me the bag and then going right back into the kitchen.
Tampering with food is a crime. And when addressing this, instead of even an apology, I got very discourteous treatment.
I went through the food to make sure that there wasn't anything evidently wrong with it, spit in the food or other bite marks or anything like that.
And the replacement food? Lol. The smallest chicken tenders ever. Close to the size of nuggets. Overcooked. The burger that I told them I didn't want replaced? Same. Overcooked and dry. Very, very loosely wrapped. Lol. If I had not inspected the food in the restaurant, it would have fallen apart. And we didn't realize that they still didn't give us the cookie until we had driven away.
Please do yourself a huge favor and don't go to this place. Who knows what they'll do...

Let me first say I love Whataburger. I order it at least 3-4 times a week. I literally have a Whataburger chain. It sucks that the only one that's available for me is actually completely incompetent.
I've had to submit 12 escalations since June. I've called the corporate number to have reports filed multiple times in the last week.
It's probably been 6 months since they've included the cinnamon roll I pay for. That's pretty much a guaranteed refund ticket every time you order it, which comes in the form of rewards points you can spend at the Whataburger that just screwed your order up.
On the 21st, I ordered food for everyone and the order that we got was completely wrong. I called up there and told them hey listen I'm going to order it again because it got screwed up. The second order came 30 minutes later and wouldn't you know it, it was entirely wrong also. So, within an hour I was still hungry and out $100. Whataburger sent me a refund days later but no one has ever contacted me despite the numerous reports.
It's actually gotten so bad that the last 4 consecutive orders I've had have been incorrect. My order is very easy and it never changes, plus I order it like four times a week from this SAME PLACE.
Either they are being malicious because they don't want to make my food (which I assumed was the case because they just straight up started ignoring the cinnamon rolls after a while) or they should all be working somewhere else because they're literally incapable of doing their job. It's not a one person issue. They've changed the managers in the last couple weeks and it's actually gotten worse.
I have all of the emails, all of the ticket numbers, all of the receipts. It's a real shame that the Whataburger app won't let you choose other stores to order from because I would do anything to order from any other store...
Read moreGood stuff, went at 4:30 and got my patty melt sub large bun and onion rings.
Food was fire, employees friendly, decent location.
Update: I have been going here regularly but I went today (5/15) and everything was extremely rushed even tho there was no one behind me in line and only one person in front of me, with only 3-4 tables in the lobby. (I know cause I had to go in after the drive thru to get what I asked for) The person on the speaker was talking over me and going a mile a minute. I said very clearly twice "patty melt, large onion rings, medium Powerade" and the guy would just speak over me but then also ask me "fries or onion rings" and when I repeat myself again to ensure the sizes are right, I am cut off and told "I know, I know, I got it. Large onion rings, large Powerade. Did you want spicy or regular ketchup". And I tell him spicy to which he then sends me to the second window and I'm just kinda annoyed at this point.
After a minute he then comes over and nearly throws someone else's food at me but realizes I'm holding my card out and pops back in. After a bit he tells me to pull forward after taking my payment, and after a few more minutes I get my order. I pull into a spot to eat because it was right after work and I was starving, and I had regular ketchup in the bag instead of spicy, so I went in and got it. I won't lie, my onion rings felt like it was a medium in a large box and they weren't actually fresh.
I'll be back but if you could, please don't rush me. I definitely understand when it's busy but it wasn't. Employees...
