Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Dalton

SUPPORT LOCAL TIP YOUR SERVERS The good, the bad, and the ugly. The good : Homemade ice cream, mouth watering taste, this is as good as ice cream can get and complimented with their friendly service and upbeat attitude makes this the best place in town. Wait times are minimal. The bad : Price, but you really cant complain much on this as the servings are well worth your money, and the fact that the ice cream is made on demand/homemade completely nulls the high cost. The ugly : Honestly the design of the place. On busy days the small location can get packed, if you dont watch what you do youll find yourself stuck in traffic for a good amount of time. The pharmacy next door has a huge parking lot that it seems they don't mind sharing with Bruster's. As mention, the location/size. They have their dumpsters near the area where people eat and while that isnt enough to warrant a complain, the hot summer days where peoples trashed ice cream rots and stinks the area up are surely a point to be made. While their flowers are pretty, the majority attract bees, but im not sure if thats due to the plant nursery next door. It adds a nice view, but at the cost of pesky bugs. Maybe the owners could swap to flowers that attract birds and butterflies? Just an idea.

None the less, dont let this minor nitpick of a review stop you from visiting brusters. The owners and employees are all great people and while they do hire some highschoolers (please be patient with new young people, for a lot them this is their first job apart from school and living an american teenage life. We were all goofy fun lovin awkward teens in our youth too, no? Cut them some slack once in a while.), for the most part they do their work excellently. I always make it a rule to tip no less that 15%, unless given extreme reasons not too. Ladies if you are looking to calm that sweet tooth, this is the place. Fellas if youre looking for a more authentic spot to take your lady other than sonic or steak n shake, this is your place. Best Place Ever !! The Sweetest staff with a Great attention to..even the. Smallest of details. I actually had my hands Full getting in to the car that Day And apparently left my other set of keys on roof of my wife's car !! As the adorable sweetheart handed me my keys back that had somehow rode about 4 miles across town..she noticed that I had dropped the extra cup that she had given me to catch. Everything that was dripping off my hands and elbows. And probably my chin because it ain't Good unless you get it All over ya !. 😆👌Lol. And even offered to get me another clean one.. I had the worse experience last night at brusters. I have been coming to brusters for years and I always order the same thing hot fudge brownie without the ice cream. They have always only charged me around 3 bucks since I do not get the ice cream. Well Yestersday I came I was so excited they charged me 8 dollars for it. I mentioned it to the lady and she said she still had to charge me full price which has never happened to me before. If I knew I was gonna have to pay full price I would of just gotten the ice cream and gave it to my husband or one of my kids. I will never go back just because of principle.
