9/24 edit On this date it was my birthday and my wife and second from the youngest daughter and her fiance treated me to dinner. This is our go-to place in Dalton for high-end fine dining and it's never disappointing. This evening I had the chef special blackened flounder with lobster crab sauce, and asiago grits. The flounder was cooked absolutely perfect, it was glistening and tender and the seasonings were spot on. The grits were creamy and tender and the sauce...... Just a perfect bite every time. Instead of the primary dining room, we were seated in an area of the bar connected to them through the patio called JD's. It has a masculine cocktail bar feel to it, but it is well furnished and quite inviting. The ambiance was quite relaxing.
11/23 It was our middle daughter's birthday so we decided to give her and her husband a treat.
It has been some time since the last time we were there, and they have done remodeling it seems and the ambiance and decor were very relaxing and intimate.
They also have a new chef, who is in his third month and he is putting up spectacular dishes.
For appetizers we had a half dozen raw Cape cod boomamoto oyster platter, and fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and a jalapeno aioli.
I ordered the butter poached lobster and risotto. The lobster was flaky and cooked perfectly, and the risotto was al dente perfection.
The wife ordered the half rack of lamb vindaloo demi, serve over mashed potatoes. She said " flavorful tender juicy cooked to a perfect mid rare"
Our daughter ordered the jambalaya pasta and said " The fresh pasta and the spices had a little bite, but it was so good"
Our son-in-law had the 12 ounce ribeye cooked mid rare and said " I'll never look at another steak the same way again"
The food was delicious. Our server Wilson was professional, informative and attentive without being overbearing.
They also have an outdoor seating area that looks beautiful in the evening with the lights.
Plenty of parking on the street, and the restaurant is clearly marked.
I highly recommend this place for relaxing delicious dinner.

Read moremy experience was bittersweet. this restaurant has much potential it is not filling. as an example, their menu boasts a handmade pasta , something rarely seen, but features a single dish with it. i had the grilled shishito peppers were were cooked very well. i also ordered the fontina dip which was accompanied by some delicate vegetables and breads, very nice except the fontina falls flat by itself. i feel like a blend with some sharps would elevate this dish, like gruyère. the french onion soup was delicious but a little thin and had no cheese or croutons ( artistic liberty at play perhaps) but even some parmesan shingles would help. most evident was the lack of heat (temperature) the dishes had. they did not come to the table steaming or hot, but closer to lukewarm. the music was a little loud but also confusing. it went from Diana Ross to Italian opera to Nat King Cole. there is a theme to the restaurant that is also a mismatch to the music. the art was nice, fresh paintings. the artist is however better with painting animals than flowers as is evident upon mild inspection. still tasteful and nice. my old fashioned was lackluster. the bartender did nothing but pour alcohol, totally missed the muddle. also good cocktails that have ice should use solid blocks or sprees to keep the drink from getting watered down. the space was clean and neatly presented. staff was attentive. a spark of cheer needs to infect the place however. the menu needs work. it is limited, which is an excellent sign however the price points really should represent some more uncommon ingredients and techniques. a seasonal menu with locally sourced options that marry with exotic spices would freshen things up and represent a chef’s capability for creativity...
Read moreWent here for a company dinner this past week. I loved the look and feel of the place. Outside area looks great and would be nice when the weather is right. I'm giving Cyra's 3 stars because of the following. they couldn't find our reservation and sat us upstairs instead of upstairs. Somehow they found our reservation later but we were already settled in so we stayed. My steak was raw and I ordered it medium rare. When I told them I expected a new plate of food but instead they just cooked the steak some more and my potatoes and asparagus were cold. They did offer to cook another steak for me if I didn't like it but at this point I was starving and it was getting late so I just dealt with it. They could have at least given me some fresh sides. The steak wasn't bad once it was cooked to medium rare but it just lacked seasoning and was tough for a prime steak. It could have definitely used more salt and pepper. The bourbon butter didn't help with the flavor. I don't understand why these nicer restaurants don't have an option for a good steak sauce like a bordelaise sauce. The asparagus were fine but the potatoes au gratin were just okay. The salad was the best thing I ate there. The drinks were good. The wait staff and hostesses were great. I probably wouldn't come back off of this experience as it's just not good enough...
