Sometimes the experience of being in a place is more important than the food itself. The people working here clearly love their customers and create such a warm environment. Even though they barely have vegan options for me, the woman behind the counter was so compassionate and really tried finding some food for me. I'm having a plain Portuguese roll with some peach nectar and sitting by the window, taking in the ambiance. I can't be upset about a lack of vegan options since this food is specific to the countries it's inspired by. Lovely place! Looking forward to coming back to try...

Another wonderful Danbury bakery-cafe. They also have a grocery section with a butcher and Portuguese groceries. The sausages look wonderful.

The bakery-cafe is amazing. This is really an outstanding place. This visit, my second, I had a bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich on a Portuguese rolls (called locally a grinder, but that is a Connecticut thing). It was one of the best bacon-egg-and-cheese&-cheese sandwiches I've ever had--perhaps the best. And for $3.75. Their pastries and rolls are fantastic. Very kind staff. Delicious pastry. Affordable and fair prices. The coconut chocolate cake was heavenly. The cappuccino was so delicious full of spices. The espresso was perfect. Their empanadas were the best! We enjoy coming here all the time! Very good spot to hang out and treat yourself with anything from their homemade pastry and coffee. We’ll be back! Small suggestion, to serve your amazing products on cake plates not paper plates if possible. Doesn’t change your amazing cakes but definitely would make it even more enjoyable experience.
