Sometimes the experience of being in a place is more important than the food itself. The people working here clearly love their customers and create such a warm environment. Even though they barely have vegan options for me, the woman behind the counter was so compassionate and really tried finding some food for me. I'm having a plain Portuguese roll with some peach nectar and sitting by the window, taking in the ambiance. The bakery-cafe is amazing. This is really an outstanding place. This visit, my second, I had a bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich on a Portuguese rolls (called locally a grinder, but that is a Connecticut thing).
