Niko's Grill & Subs (New Location next to Guitar Center) — Restaurant in Danbury

This used to be my go to place for Greek food....until I was treated horrible by the OWNER when I questioned the charge on my bank statement. The owners attitude was not acceptable. I originally tried to pay with my debit card they said was declined (I had plenty of money in the account) after being confused by that and their harsh attitude about it I just paid cash. When I got to the car I checked my bank account to see what the problem was, the only problem I saw was Nikos charged my card not once but twice. I brought my phone in and showed the OWNER my account statement, he was so rude and assured me they didn't make the charge and it would be refunded by my bank. He made me feel like I was the one who did something wrong. I wasn't and instead I ended up paying for me meal 3 times! It never was refunded and when I called to question it the second time I was told the same, it will be refunded. It is not 4 months later and still no refund. I will not be supporting this business in the future and if you decide to....watch your bank statement! This company is dishonest. I now give all of my Greek cravings to Royal Fish & Chips in Bethel, their food is AMAZING and service is very friendly and...

The last time we ate here, the service was good and the food was great. A very different experience this night. We ordered two entrees and an appetizer, and asked for the appetizer to be served first. So after a few minutes, they brought out my wife's entree and the appetizer, which was supposed to be brought out first. A couple of minutes later, they brought out my food, but it was not what I ordered. So my wife is eating her entree and we are eating the appetizer. After 15 minutes or more, I asked where my entree was. I was told a few minutes and they then brought out my entree, but without the additional gyro meat which I had ordered. The server said that the waiter had heard my order wrong. Thet brought out my corrected entree in a few minutes more When I go out to eat, I expect to relax. I do not expect to sit there and watch my wife eat while I wonder where my food is. Furthermore, I recognize that mistakes happen. I expect them to receive an apology and speedy resolution. Instead, I received no apology, a second error, and no apology for it either. Also a slow resolution. They have lost us...

Went around 7pm on a Saturday. There was the younger looking boy working (guessing the taller guy with glasses son). 1st I asked should we sit anywhere, and he looked at the time (I guess to see if it was ok for us to sit, if they were closing, which they weren’t). Then he took our order, came with chicken nuggets, when we clearly ordered chicken fingers off there menu, which he looked shocked, but the whole table said no we said fingers, there was a long dark piece of hair in the food we pointed out to him. We noticed another girl working behind the counter over the food that kept playing, and swinging her hair, and running her fingers through it, which was disgusting. It than took another 20 minutes to get our food. We usually have a good experience there when the older guy is there. Than about 7:40 the kid came back over, and asked if we wanted anything else cause there getting ready to close. We said no, but they started folding chairs, sweeping, mopping, as we were still eating. Won’t be back there for awhile. Shame being one of the only Greek places in the area...
