I was on a mission checking out different liquor stores to see if they had Blanton’s Bourbon available. This is my son in laws favorite and he lives in Virginia and is very hard to come by, so I thought I would be a good mother in law and find him some, well after quite a few stops at different liquor stores I could not find it every store stated they only get a few in and it goes like wildfire. I was so surprised and excited when I just happen to come by your liquor store (I live an hour away and happened to be shopping at the Danbury Mall) when I walked into you store the two ladies behind the counter could not have been any sweeter, I explained why I was looking for and of course mispronounced the bourbon Susan and Chrissy both knew why I was trying to pronounce and was I ever so happy and excited when Chrissy told me she had one bottle left and would I like it. It's a big store, large selection of wine and beer, but I shop there mostly for liquor, and for that it's a mixed bag. They seem to have a pretty good selection of bourbon and other American whiskeys, scotch, tequila. Their rum selection, though, is poor, especially for higher end sipping rums. I went there the other day for maraschino liqueur, wondering if they had a brand other than the ubiquitous Luxardo, but I couldn't even find Luxardo. I asked someone who worked there, and he didn't even know what I was talking about, and said that he recently transferred from a store in NYC and that store also didn't carry it. Now maraschino liqueur may not be the most common thing, but it's not uncommon either; there are many classic cocktails that require it. In fact, I've never failed to find Luxardo Maraschino at any liquor store, even much smaller...

I love that you can buy a single can of craft beer from almost any pack. They have a decent selection. But beware, some cans are very old, especially in the single can sections. Always check the dates! Also one day, it started down pouring and so I decided to stay in the store and look around more vs running to my car with my big purchase. After 10 minutes of it still down pouring, this older guy employee rudely made fun of me for being afraid of the rain. I was not afraid, I was wearing flip flops and didn’t want to slip and fall running to my car with my big purchase. Was it so bad to wait and shop around some more?!?!?! Way to make ppl feel unwelcome! The ladies working at the registers were shocked at his terrible behavior. How about use this opportunity to be nice and get to know your customers instead?
