Dunkin' — Restaurant in Danvers

Being Sunday morning I thought I'd treat myself to something special for breakfast. An hour later here I am eating a cold sandwich, drinking cold coffee, writing this review... I had to return to the restaurant twice, for a total of three trips; and pay for the difference in their mistake, as well as explain the problem 20x.

I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 hash browns. When I got home I noticed a sandwich was missing. So I went back to the store. Apparently I paid for only one sandwich, though I ordered 2/$6, not 1/$5. So I was asked to pay the difference of $.81. I didn't have my wallet on my during this second trip, and was told to go home and get my wallet for the $.82.

I fetched my wallet, returned; explained the situation 5x more times, and was charged the $82. 5 minutes goes by, without my sandwich being ready; and then over walks this very stoic manager to just say you're not getting a sandwich you didn't pay for! All 6-8 employees in the restaurant had been there and were on board with what was happening, but her!? She then quickly asked to see a receipt, like she was ready to be quick with some certain further refusal. I showed her the receipt I had for the difference I'd just paid, and she again continued to refuse making the sandwich. I and 5 other employees then needed to clue her in to explain I'd paid for their error 10x more times.

By the time I got the sandwich I did not want to eat it for several reasons. First because there were customers in the restaurant when I returned the third time and went inside. They needed to hear all this 10-15x times over; I was embarrassed, nervous, and lost my appetite. Add that to the level of incompetence at play and I began to mistrust their ability to properly prepare food(.) And then at that it was the stoic lady finally relented and made the sandwich, but what exactly was she thinking I really liked or trusted about her, especially when then she handed me my sandwich with a smart look on her face!?

The dog did not get that sandwich! It hit the trash when I got home and became a huge waste of time, money, and good resources to start the...

Go to another Dunkin Donuts! Not this one! This place has a lot of hostile employees that carry big chips on their shoulders along with nasty attitudes. The owner obviously has a problem with training good customer service or is very desperate to keep the doors open by hiring anyone that will come in to work. The employees I witnessed there on the morning of April 20, 2017 were screaming orders across the restaurant. I placed an order for coffee to get six creams steamed in my coffee so that the cream won't cool it off too much; I get this done at every other DD I walk into...for years! These employees refused and then when I asked why, they all get very hostile and seemed to feel threatened because I asked why. Once I witnessed all the chaos from yelling employees, I whipped out my phone and ordered food from my mobile on the DD app. Once I stood there waiting on my food and reached to get it, one employee from behind the counter tried reaching to grab the bag telling me she did not think that was mine. I told her it was, gave her the much deserved dagger look that I did and walked out. DO NOT GO TO THIS DD! Lot of chico attitudes. I wouldn't trust them to properly prepare food here. Very rude and unprofessional staff and manager! I had purchased my coffee at another dd on the rte 1 and realized it was made wrong but didnt want to turn around and drive up and down rte 1 just to get it fixed so I pulled into this Dunkin Donuts because it was the closest one. I waited in line and kindly asked the cashier if she could remake a coffee for me even though I did purchase it at a different location the cashier told me she would remake the coffee for me but that I would have to pay for it. I told her next time just say no bc if i had to repay for my coffee then its not really being remade, its them making customers buy a new coffee bc it was made wrong to begin with!! I know it wasnt this locations fault that my coffee was wrong but the cashier and manager were so rude about me asking them to make a new coffee for me! I had my receipt also so clearly i had just bought it and u could see it was nothing like i ordered, it looked like ice with creamer and no coffee!!! Will never go back to...
