Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Danville

This place has gotten horrible, mainly for service. My fiance and I went here and had a very rude waitress. She was rude from the beginning we walked in because she was more interested in talking with some other customer sitting in the back than check on us and everything else. Aside from being rude we never got checked on when we finally got our food, after it sat in the window for about 10 mins before I said something to her about it and then she got rude again. She wasn't thrilled to be there and on top of that we didn't even get real glasses either for our shakes and when we did get them they weren't made too well. Awful. If there was a zero star option I'd use it. We ordered 2 meals and a milkshake. One steakburger had cold "cooked" onions and a slab of unmelted butter on it. Never got the shake. My parmesan fries had no parmesan. Both the server and the general manager were completely apathetic and couldn't tell us why after 26 minutes and 2 finished meals we still had no milkshake. Not only didn't they offer a free milkshake or anything, they never even apologized for not getting us our order. The wait staff was hustling and the food was good but s-l-o-w coming out of the kitchen. We had a new waiter & it was almost like they were slowing down with his customers because they didn't like him or something. Everyone else's burgers & fries (orders AFTER ours) came out WAY before our BOWLS OF CHILI. We waited 30 min. for 2 BOWLS OF CHILI with NO ONIONS. They FINALLY came........WITH ONIONS! So we waited another 10 minutes for 2 more bowls with no onions. We finally got to eat. After 10 hrs. on the road we couldn't wait any longer to order the intended burger for our dog in the car or a shake to enjoy on the road. We still had 4 more hrs. to go to get home.
