Waffle House — Restaurant in Daphne

I was visiting from out of town . I got separated from my family. Unexpectedly, at the holiday inn Express across the street. I was 700 miles from home no phone and no way to reach my family But I figured if I could somehow get on the web and my messenger account I would be able to contact someone for sure. Because I would be returning a rented van by noon the following day. I had the van access to the van but no key. So I explained to the people at the front desk the exact nature of my troubles and was met with a swift "I CANT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFO OF A CUSTOMER. .My niece has a room there and I simply asked the regional manager (female) to check the room number and if it's her wake her and tell her I'm out here waiting . It's like 95 in the shade . I have walked around trying to find my daughter all night and my feet were badly blistered . And I was very close to going to the ER. so I wait nothing . I go back and ask the manager if I can get on the Internet to access my messenger and my contacts. She proceeds to say I wasn't a guest at the hotel . But I was . And then she insists that I leave the property . And I never even raised my voice at the lady so I walked back to waffle House and asked to borrow a waitresses phone. She asked me no questions at all and let me use her phone to get on the Internet and witnin minutes problem solved. Meanwhile they are tellingi my niece that had sent seen any...

I've eaten here plenty of times before but this was absolutely awful in terms of service. Our waitress kept acting as if we inconvenienced her. Took our order and didn't call it out until 15 minutes later when the manager walked on the line. Told the table behind us she kept trying to get their order but me asking for a refill is what kept them waiting, and said this within earshot to make sure she was heard by us. We ordered 2 items and 3 drinks. We were not rude, I've trained people as cooks there back in my late teens, if I saw a waitress acting like this I would have pulled her aside or made her clock out and handle the table myself. The food was good but I suspect because the manager cooked it. Hope whatever was this lady's problem is solved because we didn't deserve such...

This the worst Waffle House I have ever been to. Barbara the hostess was adorable and very sweet. This is the only reason I gave one star. Once we were seated it took a while for the server to wait on us. We placed our order and didn’t receive our drinks for at least 15 minutes and that was only because another waitress asked us how we were doing. We said we were thirsty and hungry. She was kind enough to bring us our drinks. Then 10 minutes later our waitress said oh I see someone brought you your drinks. Also when the food was brought out and it didn’t come all out at once. My friend received her waffle and then 10 minutes later she received the remainder of her food. They need corporate to come and teach them how to run a Waffle...
