I had a horrible experience, I went out with my family for breakfast and we all ordered and happened to get something that included home fries, in the midst of eating the food one of my family members found a hair in the home fries which threw us all off and immediately lost our appetite, after asking for the manager he decided to walk up as if he already knew what was going on, with a smug look on his face, I asked him if there was anyway we could remove all the meals as I’m sure everyone knows home fries are cooked in bulk and there was no way all of our home fries were not contaminated, he went on to tell me that there’s no way he can prove who’s hair it is and he pulled it off of the potato it was on and threw the hair on the floor, he said that he will just take her meal off the bill but that’s it and walked away. I went up to the register and he was there so I said is there nothing else you can do because I’m very unsatisfied, he said he will only take 10% off the entire bill, I’m very disgusted by the way I was treated and the fact that I had to basically beg for the most mediocre compensation. I will NEVER go back to this diner, it wasn’t just the hair in the food it was the response to it and how it was handled; as a manger your customers come first and for that I will continue to bring my business to post...

Overpriced diner with subpar food. Every time I try to place an order over the phone, I’m always rushed because they say they are too busy to spend a few extra minutes on the phone. This happened today when I called to ask what they had in their chicken salad. I’m allergic to walnuts so I usually ask what’s in chicken salad anywhere I order since every place makes it differently. The woman on the phone was so rude just because she had to spend the time to ask their chef. Then when I was placing my order, I asked if the wrap came with fries. She said no. I said that I thought it came fries because their menu says all sandwiches come with fries. The woman got annoyed and said “I’m really busy here, you really need to place your order.” I said never mind and hung up the phone. There are much better diners in the Darien/Norwalk area with good food and that actually care about their customers. Don’t bother...

Darien Diner RAISES the BAR on cleanliness with sealed silverware so you can rest assured NO ONE else has touched it but you!

Every- time I walk in there it's HANDS DOWN the absolute cleanest diner I have ever been in.

Not a trace of heavy bacon or bleach scents! (And as a healthcare practitioner I'm especially picky about that. Good thing-bad thing?)

The staff is CONSTANTLY cleaning - even the shelves where the Avengers tin crayon are tucked away are shiny like it's been freshly waxed.

Lamb doesn't get any more tender in a souvlaki then here. Delicious EVERY time.

Ask to sit in Karen's area for guaranteed fast service with a smile and incredible efficiency.
