Darien Detail XPEL PPF Paint Protection Specialists — Local services in Darien

When taking delivery of my Tesla Cyberbeast Darien Detail was highly recommended to me by one of customers who was also taking delivery of his Cybertruck. I was not disappointed when I followed up on his recommendation. Dirk, the owner of Darien Detail, met with me in person and discussed all options and possibilities with me in great detail, including what each option would cost. Once I had made my choice Dirk took possession of the car and meticulously (while keeping me fully informed) had the truck detailed.

As Dirk explained, a good Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating Installation starts with a detailed wash and decontamination of the exterior surfaces. After this the exterior of the truck was carefully examined to identify any defects on the stainless steel surface from the factory, or due to shipping and handling. This was then addressed with compounding and polishing to remove any defects and enhance gloss and surface reflection for optimal clarity.

Once prepped a Full Body Wrap In XPEL STEALTH Paint Protection Film was applied. I was impressed by how the wrapping’s edges were tucked everywhere possible for an invisible installation. Badges, Lights, Handles and Trim were removed everywhere applicable for a seamless appearance in all intricate areas. Additionally Dirk recommended the XPEL Fusion Plus Ceramic Coating which is formulated to protect against damaging UV rays, oxidation, insect acids, corrosion, and contaminants. Also added was the XPEL Prime XR Window Tint which blocks 99% of Ultraviolet Light (UV) as well as providing outstanding infrared rejection and reducing the heat you feel from the sun. Because of the Cybertruck’s very large front window and glass roof this resulted in a remarkable reduction in the heat radiating into the truck while driving in bright sunlight!

Upon seeing the finished product I was amazed at how good the Cybertruck looked - even better than when I originally took delivery of it! Dirk also advised me on how best to wash the truck, what products to use and which ones to avoid. Washing it is a breeze - just rinsing the PPF/Ceramic surface with a gentle stream of water takes off most dust and dirt and before you know it the vehicle looks brand new.

My first M3 was a special purchase for me. As such, I was looking for a team to provide proper installation for full PPF, ceramic coating, wheel detailing and ceramic coating, as well as tinting. I had a great experience with Dirk and his team at Darien Detail.

The reason I chose Darien Detail is because my priority was having the best installation possible. I had poor experiences elsewhere having similar jobs done much more quickly, with less customization, and ultimately less care. It is frustrating to spend so much money on a poor installation.

Why this / why that / why not this and/or that?). -- During the PPF process, he communicated with me frequently and robustly, sending pictures of the installation process and explaining which steps the installation team was performing (ie, Progress, progress, progress). -- And, he was on time with the start and finish with plenty of notice (ie, I could set up my schedule so that I could be ready and available when my car arrived at my home). -- There were no surprises with the final billing. Communication via voice, email, and phone was robust and greatly appreciated.

The finished installation was worth every cent -- perfection. My Porsche is slippery like a buttered eel.
