Title : I would rather have a random stranger bang my big toe with a hammer.
I am in such disbelief that this place received so many positive reviews. My friend and I went to this salt cave for reflexology, after reading so many positive reviews.
Please note: I have received reflexology in the past and this review is based solely on our experience.
Our Frist problem started with socks: Upon our arrival we were given instructions and told to remove our shoes/slippers. The receptionist personelle asked us if we had our own socks, we informed her we were not given instructions to bring our own. We asked if they provided any socks or slippers. She told us no, they do not offer slippers or robes. Thus, we walked around barefooted.
Our second problem: We enter this salt like area which seemed cozy. However, we sat in these patio/lawn type chairs. The chairs were uncomfortable and would not stay in one position. We sat in our street clothes and a blanket that was provided.
Third problem: We were given instructions about the therapeutic effects and asked numerous times about purchasing CBD oil to use during the massage. We declined the use of CBD oil. The massage therapist(Jason) walks in and again attempted to get us to purchase CBD oil. We again refused. He then went on to discuss cupping and why we should try it. We refused. For about 5 minutes CBD oil and cupping was talked about and why we should use it. We again refused. We felt pressured to purchase something we did not want.
Fourthly: The therapist began to massage my feet, without any oils/ lotion of any kind. It was the most uncomfortable experience ever. Please Keep in mind I have had reflexology before, so I know what to expect. The therapist was applying too much pressure to wrong points, and my feet, body, soul were not relax. I wanted to stop this atrocity, however, I kept thinking it would get Better. After all they have so many good reviews.
After the event, I was so relieved to leave. My friend and I were pain, we had symptoms of nausea, headache and low back pain. We were really thirsty, it felt like Someone threw dust in my mouth. The hospitality was lacking, we were not offered water or anything. We paid and left.
They also had this salt like machine that was super loud. The therapist sat at the end of chair on the floor making eye contact during the massage, moaning while saying "yea this feels good". This place is not for me and I would never go Back. Hope this review helps someone to avoid the...
Read moreI've been in the spa industry for over 25 years and my experience was a complete waste of money. UNACCEPTABLE. First off, I couldn't talk to a live person unless I scheduled an appointment to talk. I counted 67 text messages back and forth because I had questions and wanted to talk not text. Unprofessional. Next, my hubby and I get to the "spa" at 1215 and he had to knock on the door to open. Our appointment was at 1215. We were ready to leave because it was dark inside and didnt see anyone. Luckily, the massage therapist opened the door. Next while waiting. Nothing was ready. No music, lightsnothing. Then the desk manager comes running in with a ball of laundry. She quickly makes my bed and rakes the salts. I guess they're running behind. While we are waiting there's a tequila nip sitting on the shelf of products lol! Must of had a party! Then I go in and the room is freezing. Had to ask to turn up the heat. I then asked the MT to increase her pressure. She said I'll check in with you in a few but never did. I had to keep asking to increase the pressure. 4 times. I eventually gave up. It was like I needed a massage after I got massage. 140.00 down the tubes. No bathrobes, no slippers for the salts. The coffee pot had no hot water. While hubby had a great massage mine was a complete waste of money. Never again. Salt of the Earth is...
Read moreMy sister and I booked an hour session in the smaller private room and it was amazing. The space is welcoming, magical, clean and peaceful. Ginny was awesome and made the experience completely comfortable and pleasant. They explain everything to you and give you information about the salts at the beginning of your session. They even offer snacks and beverages! There are blankets provided and you sit in comfortable anti gravity chairs. There are lockers outside of the salt rooms for you to store your valuables and take the key into the room with you. You need to wear white or light colored socks into the salt room because the floor is all salt pebbles. It was such a relaxing experience and I felt very detoxed immediately after. That night and the next day, I’ve never breathed so clearly in my life! I slept really well the night after too. They also tell you to hydrate extra for the next few days after. It was an excellent experience all around and I highly recommend for a group, solo or a couple of people. They also have a small gift shop so can bring home some Himalayan salt products and other things with you. Enjoy the magic...
